For the second day in a row, the Springfield region was hit by threats of violence affecting schools, city officials and others.

The Springfield City School District closed Roosevelt Middle School and evacuated Perrin Woods and Snowhill Elementary schools Friday morning after the city received two bomb threats via email, according to a city release. Cliff Park High School, a charter school outside the Springfield district, was also evacuated.

 

I feel like I already have a low opinion of the political fringes in this country... but can anyone explain why the braindead winger narrative about immigrants eating pets has resulted in morons making threats against civic institutions in Springfield? I just don't follow.

Ohio Wildlife Officials Give Context for Photo of Man Holding 2 Geese (tmz.com)

The Ohio Division of Wildlife tells TMZ the real deal behind the viral pic -- the guy was actually picking up 2 geese that were hit in a Columbus car accident. And by the way, that's 45 minutes from Springfield, where Trump's wild claims supposedly took place.

The wildlife org clarified to us you usually need a statement or receipt from the county sheriff or wildlife officer to claim an animal carcass. But the Franklin County Wildlife Office tells TMZ that for geese, you don’t always need a receipt ... so the guy was totally in the clear to have them.

Also, we're told there’s no evidence the man is an immigrant, or Haitian, or had plans to eat the geese. They make it clear the whole story’s being blown out of proportion thanks to Trump’s comments this week and his fans amplifying the narrative online.

Could be lots of things. It could be he found it dead and is removing it. When geese die, they attract predators and smell foul. I have removed them from my property before when I find them dead.

Could be he suffers from a mental illness - and isn’t Haitian… or it could be he is Haitian, in a different town and killed a goose and is going to eat it.

The problem is that a normal person, running for President doesn’t travel and prepare with racist weirdo that is mentally ill like Laura Loomer and then repeat her completely unvetted claim - from Facebook that Haitians are eating cats and dogs.

That’s what happened - and now his supporters drastically are trying to find any thing at all to prove what Trump said is possible…. Never mind that the person that posted it first now says she never witnessed it happen and the person that said it isn’t credible. They tried find a light skinned black woman eating a cat as proof - but that woman was biracial - not Haitian- was born in the USA and suffers from mental illness.

It was only said because it divided people and is distraction.

Is he a hunter with a permit? I don’t know… I don’t know when that picture was taken… where it was taken… who the person is … and I have no idea if he is or isn’t Haitian.

What I do know is that there is no evidence of Haitian immigrants eating cats or dogs… zero… so the claim is as credible as me saying Trump sexually assaults women and pays them to have abortions.. oh wait ..

 

The burden of proof is on the person making the stupid allegation. After days to look for any evidence - after lies showing an American black woman that clearly isn’t Haitian are proved false- after the local police said it was false- after the person that started the post said it’s false… you believe the bullshit out of the mouth of an established liar - that random black man with a goose is Haitian and must have killed a goose in Ohio without a permit?

Truth be told, I don’t give a **** if a Haitian (out of 15,000) did kill a goose… it has nothing to do with the other 14,999 Haitians.

 

Then you would probably be wrong. He could have gone hunting and is walking them to his home from a close friends house. He could have found them dead. He could have gone hunting and with a permit.

It could be many things - but concluding he must be Haitian and he must have killed the birds with permits is a real stretch…

 

He's even going beyond that. He's saying that this photo makes the claim that Haitians as a group of people are killing park geese as a pattern of behavior of that migrant group is plausible. Because of this photo existing they claim is now "plausible" according to him.

 

He is trolling and finds it cute.

It’s not cute - it is the same thought process used to justify oppression for years and eventually leads to slavery, Jim Crow, alienation acts that kept Asians out of the USA and oppressing women…. Nazi Germany and Soviet Union had newspapers that published this same sort of divisive garbage and lies…. And the same people excusing here would be horrified reading it from Germany or Soviet Union.

When this type of divisive propaganda and lies is being spewed by two men running for office it should be a warning to anyone. Calling them weird is a huge understatement. They have crossed the line into a level of vile rhetoric that is repulsive, divisive, and dangerous.
