In yet another escalation of his long-running war with the press, Donald Trump called into Fox & Friends the morning after his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris and threatened to have ABC’s broadcast license pulled. Trump was furious after the network fact-checked several of his false claims during the debate, like when Trump spread debunked conspiracy theories about immigrants eating people's dogs.

“They ought to take away their license for the way they did that,” Trump fumed, referencing ABC’s corrections during the 105-minute debate, which he repeatedly claimed was rigged in favor of Harris. “The press is so dishonest in this country. It’s amazing,” he added, clearly angered by what he saw as one-sided treatment.

Trump's remarks follow his longstanding promise to crack down on media outlets he deems unfriendly, echoing a September 2023 post in which he vowed to “remove from the airwaves” any news media critical of him should he regain the presidency. In that post, Trump labeled NBC News as “Country Threatening Treason” and argued that media companies are "a true threat to Democracy" and should pay a price for their coverage.

JD, you were right, all those times you commented negatively about Trump in the past. If only you had stood true to your beliefs about that creep you suck up to now. You are nothing but another MAGA hypocrite like so many of the rest.

He's following Hitler's playbook. All news but his news is fake news, and if he has his way they will all be penalized for not pushing only the news he wants told.

Trump always associates himself with criminals, racists, White Nationalists, right wing radicals, and conspiracy theorists. He keeps such fine company doesn't he? It says a lot about him.

Trump’s toxic ties to conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer continue

The former president’s association with the bigoted activist and conspiracy theorist should earn him the same condemnation he received over his dinner with white nationalist Nick Fuentes and Ye.

Loomer, who has said she’s “pro-white nationalism” and a “proud Islamophobe,” has received public praise from Trump multiple times over the past year, despite some conservatives’ concerns that she could become a liability for his campaign.

Lately, she has used her platform to lob overtly racist and sexist attacks at Kamala Harris, the same kind of schlock Trump shares on social media. In one such example from last week, Loomer described Harris, New York Attorney General Letitia James and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as “meritless DEI Shaniquas.”

Father of Ohio boy, 11, tells Trump and Vance to stop using son’s death for ‘political gain’
Nathan Clark calls Republicans ‘hate-spewing’ for falsely claiming Aiden Clark was murdered by Haitian immigrant

The father of an 11-year-old boy who was killed last year when a minivan driven by an immigrant from Haiti collided with his school bus has asked Donald Trump and JD Vance to stop using his son’s name for “political gain”.

During a city commission meeting on Tuesday in Springfield, Ohio, Nathan Clark, the father of Aiden Clark, addressed the forum alongside his wife, Danielle. Speaking at the meeting, Clark said: “I wish that my son, Aiden Clark, was killed by a 60-year-old white man. I bet you never thought anyone would say something so blunt, but if that guy killed my 11-year-old son, the incessant group of hate-spewing people would leave us alone,” the Springfield News-Sun reports.

Clark went on to list politicians including Trump and Vance, who he said have been using his son’s name for “political gain”.

“Bernie Moreno [the Ohio Republican senate candidate], Chip Roy [the Texas Republican representative], JD Vance and Donald Trump … have spoken my son’s name and used his death for political gain. This needs to stop now. They can vomit all the hate they want about illegal immigrants, the border crisis and even untrue claims about fluffy pets being ravaged and eaten by community members. However, they are not allowed, nor have they ever been allowed, to mention Aiden Clark from Springfield, Ohio,” said Clark.

“I will listen to them one more time to hear their apologies. To clear the air, my son, Aiden Clark, was not murdered. He was accidentally killed by an immigrant from Haiti. This tragedy has been all over this community, the state and even the nation. But don’t spin this towards hate,” he continued.

Clark went on to say: “Did you know that one of the worst feelings in the world is to not be able to protect your child? Even worse, we can’t protect his memory when he’s gone. Please stop the hate.”

Dude doesn't know how to fact check. It's pretty sad that he only found 6 lies and most of them aren't really lies at all, but maybe half truths or quotes taken out of context and twisted into lies.

Which is funny because that's what he's calling a lie on Kamala's part.

A former president and possible next presidential threatening to shut down media sources for unfavorable coverage doesn’t seem to get those worked up over free speech attention.

In comparison, most of what Trump said was either partial or half truth, unsubstantiated, or blatant lies. He never speaks an entire 2 minutes without throwing in a lie.

He didn't do it in his first term.

The Biden-Harris administration, on the other hand, pressured social media companies into censorship and is pretty much controlling most of mainstream media already.

He certainly tried and was stopped by members of the DOJ. He’s certainly pledged to not hire those people again.

Also he said again in the debate how much he admired Orban who has shut down media in Hungary that was critical of him.

Do you acknowledge that the Biden-Harris administration pressured social media companies into censorship?

The "Twitter files" already proved it without a doubt, and it has been confirmed and substantiated by Mark Zuckerberg for Meta.

Also to not this claim that mainstream media is controlled by Harris Biden is being made by the same people arguing that Harris won’t answer tough questions put by media in the debate and interviews.

The argument is simultaneously that Harris controls the media while also ducking the media.

Sure I never denied they didn’t exert some pressure on them. government can ask private companies to do things I deal with it all the time in my work. A government ask my client to use a type of brick that blends in better with the downtown and exerts pressure ny implying if they don’t they might make it harder to get the building permit.

I’m in record as saying im uneasy with such things as while not illegal or unconstitutional does go against the spirit. What I’ve seen yet from you or others is while you thunder about social media getting restricted seem to turn a blind eye to news services getting threatened to and actually shut down.

    Their actions were unconstitutional.
