Wouldn't call the future contract a rape...I know for damn sure, eventually, I'll rather have CJ for 4/240 than Dak. His contract when it comes will probably be 4/265 or 5/320
Putting my bottle of Tequila and cigars down. " Stroud drops back, back, back, slips, wooo0p, Stroud with the completion. EJ, 'I feel the need for Speed' with the tackle. .. ."
Rah Rah for sexual assault. In your world all women are liars. There are more out there. This is different because this lady wasn't a massage therapist or mentally handicapped.
He probably will be getting 1 mil more than whoever the highest paid QB at the time he signs his contract. This will be the beginning of the end of the Texams champuonship run. A run only lasts seven years from the time a QB signs his rookie deal. The Texans have 6 years to try to win a championship. After that cap issues will rule the day.
That's what will give them the 7 year window. The last couple of years of a deal that you're describing will be an albatross.
I've watched maybe a dozen or so clips from the McAfee show. I've not heard AJ Hawk speak in any of them
The only QBs to win Super Bowls outside their rookie contracts since 2000: Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Patrick Mahomes. Dudes who were soon good that you didn't need to spend money on offensive skill players to be successful, I think there's a chance CJ is in that category. EDIT: Eli Manning also won a ring in year 8, but that Giants team was the worst team to win a Super Bowl (9-7), I'm not sure trying to replicate that will work.
