I sped listened the first 30 mins and don't feel like finishing the rest. Kamala did what she had to do in terms of opinion and continuing her intro to the American people. It's mostly hers to lose.

Damnit! Why won't Kamala debate Trump on Fox News?!? She said she was open to a 2nd debate if Trump showed up to the first one. She asks for another debate and Trump runs like a coward.
no matter one's take on the debate (and most of conservative social media acknowledges it was not Trump's best night), imo, it will have little effect. The assassination attempt was old news within a week, and 60 days later is essentially forgotten. the debate half-life will be much shorter, and no one will care by November. so...meh.
Most likely agree. Hillary and John Kerry won the debates in their presidential elections and still lost the election. These are different times with different candidates. If Trump actually does another debate and does as poorly, it could have a cumulative effect.
I listened to the whole debate last night. (I watched video clip this morning fwiw.) My initial impression of Trump was that Trump was giving a campaign stop speech, which obviously appeals to 46% of the voters. I heard nothing that would changed a single mind of any one of them. My initial impression of Kamala was that Kamala started out a bit nervous but settled in. She completely destroyed Trump on abortion. She also baited Trump repeatedly into talking about crowd sizes and other weird ****. She showed why Trump should never take the stand in any criminal/civil trial. IMO she showed that she can stand up to would-be strongmen and that she can lead. She sounded Presidential. I think anyone on the fence between Harris and Trump should have seen/heard enough to vote for Harris. I really do not know how many voters are still on the fence at this point. This morning I looked at the video clips. Trump looked like an old angry man, not someone who you want in the White House. Kamala looked confident after she got going. And then there is Taylor Swift. Her endorsement and call to action to register to vote might end up being a game changer. The 18 to 40 women demo are not reliable voters. She might inspire them to get register and vote, which would be very bad news for Trump and the down ballet Rs.
So, Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard weren’t the best choices to prep Trump? Seriously though, Trump is untrainable. He actually believes he’s the smartest man ever born.
