Trump likely isn’t going to lose much support as he’s just restating stuff that those who are already in his camp. He’s not going to Win anymore and he’s saying the stuff they moderates and independents have said turns them off.

The debate turned when Harris trolled and baited Trump about crowd sizes and people leaving his rallies. Ever since that moment he's been off the rails. Harris isn't seizing on it because she's just so worried about getting her rehearsed talking points in that she isn't capitalizing as much as she could have. Trump just said Elections were bad.
Unhinged usually implies that fact checking will come up more often and they agreed to a moderation that had fact checking. You are stating yourself he's coming off unhinged. That implies extreme claims that would require fact checking.
