I'm pretty sure 90% of the content @tinman spams about "wokeism" is backed by Russian influencing campaigns.

Of course the Russian government wants to make sure Americans care more about wokeism than wealth inequality, cost of living etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if a large brunt of these gaming YouTube channels that just constantly b**** about "wokeism" are getting paid somewhere down the line by Russian influencing campaigns.

What's really hard to believe is that these "influencers" actually could have thought someone other than the Russians would offer them huge amounts of money, up to seven figures, to post the nonsense they were happy to pump out. Who else could it have been? How could they have not known who the source of this largess was? Are they totally brain dead?

We have half a dozen in D&D cheering every bit of that crap. I still see a lot of it right here, and that's after putting a couple of dozen of them on ignore. The level of stupidity we're seeing is astonishing.

Late last year, a popular conservative YouTuber was about to earn a windfall, but something felt a bit off. A Brussels-born businessman named Eduard Grigoriann was offering him $100,000 per week to join a new network of ideologically aligned commentators, one meant to counterbalance Grigoriann’s frustrations with mainstream media bias. The deal was exceptional, paying more than any other network would consider offering, but Grigoriann was suspiciously impossible to find online.

Before moving forward, the YouTuber asked for press releases, interviews, a LinkedIn profile, or anything mentioning Grigoriann to review. He was persistent. Ultimately, Grigoriann’s team sent a one-pager, with a prominent photo a man sitting in private plane, along with some details about Grigoriann’s career and interests. Outside of that document, Grigoriann was a ghost, leaving no trace online. The YouTuber was apparently satisfied. He moved forward, joining a channel called Tenet Media, and netted a $100,000 signing bonus.

We now know that Eduard Grigoriann was a fabrication, a fiction created by Russian state media, according to a DOJ indictment published this week. The YouTuber’s windfall was in fact distributed by the Russia-sponsored RT network, the DOJ said, spent in an effort to advance Russia’s interests abroad. The YouTuber was right to be skeptical. But ultimately, the money was too sweet to turn down.

If someone is offering u that much money, wouldn’t u do even the slightest bit of research and due diligence to find out who this investor is? A quick google search would have made it apparent that this person doesn’t exist and this whole thing is shady.

Well, it just proves that the only accomplishment Trump ever really did was making himself a bigger cult leader than Jim Jones. He followed the mantra by deceiving the most innocent, vulnerable, and stupid Americans into believing his BS, and asking them for money over and over again. He has surpassed Jim Jones in brainwashing a cult following. The only difference is that he will dish out the Kool-Aid and walk away claiming he did nothing wrong, and leave his followers dealing with the consequences.

Part of the indictment -

Tenet media had an unpaid bill. Tenet media sent an "urgent" email, requesting an immediate response. When no response was immediately forthcoming, after a few minutes Tenet Media googled, "current time in Moscow", and when they saw it was 4:30am, they waited until Moscow.business hours before trying again.

They "didn't know" because they specifically chose to not know. If they were operating in good faith and had more intelectual curiosity than a rock, it would have been plain.

 

Wow… then again in hindsight it makes sense. He was just a guy that started filming and became a know online presence.

 

The correct answer is that they didn’t care. If you are googling “time in Moscow”, you know damn well.

That's a great image, FB. The weird guy you're responding to is clearly in the grip of trump's lunacy and under the influence of Russian propaganda. He's also clearly educated. While I agree with the gist of @Phillyrocket's post describing trump's supporters as relatively uneducated, far from all of them are.

Some are quite educated and it makes no difference. They have eagerly allowed themselves to be sucked into the vortex of trump's madness and Putin's propaganda. If anything, that a number of them, like this guy, are educated, yet pulled in by the madness, shows just how dangerous trump and Putin are. I can't help but think of pre-war Germany in the 1930's. The same thing happened there.

What I find amusing is that I'm the complete opposite of how he's described me. The fellow clings to his bizarre political philosophy like it's a life raft in the ocean, no doubt desperately looking here and there for those who agree with him, just as he looks for those to attack with his strange bigotry. He's truly a sad spectacle.

 

That comic book was absolutely correct. These countries had horrible governments which did not allow free speech and freedom of movement, and subjugated and murdered their own citizens.
