The aunt of the shooter is defending him on X. **** her and her family. ***** the time to care about your nephew was before he took a gun to school and took out 4 innocent people.
Nope. Conservatives didn’t want to leave the crown. Just like conservatives didn’t want to give up slavery or Jim Crow. Your ideology is a lot about maintaining the status quo…. Even now… who is against woke and equality in the 21st century? You
Look at the founding of the Republican Party and their policy. Larger government, etc. They were founded by Notherners and some midwesterners. The Party of Lincoln now in no way resembles the actual politics of Lincoln. Take a look at historical electoral maps. Are you saying that the parties did not flip flop or are you saying that everyone just up and swapped locations?
Definitely not the same parties. JFK would probably be a Republican today. But some of the principles resemble the Republicans/conservatives of today. They don't like taxes so that aligns with the 2% tax increase on the tea, they like to be independent, so they probably wouldn't wanna be under the British rule etc. Now slavery n stuff, thats money (conservatives like their money), they needed the labor, so it makes sense they were against the abolishment of slavery, initially. They got the reparations for lost labor right? If i remember correctly
Are you truly this dumb? The Republican Party did not exist until 1854. The Republicans party was against slavery during its inception. That started the schism between them and the Whigs. Please for the love of God learn some history before you comment
Thats why I said conservatives, or people on the right, w/e you prefer Russell Kirk saw the American Revolution itself as "a conservative reaction, in the English political tradition, against royal innovation". Goodbye Spoiler: . Y'all were too soft for that (still are, some things never change)
I'm no fan of the Democratic party, but you're smarter than most here, so this post is disingenuous. In a weird way, I actually think Trump could do more for reasonable gun legislation than others. His vanity and desire to crush intraparty dissenters may be able to move a Republican party too entrenched in gun ownership expansion in ways that can't happen under Democrats.
You can't have a shock-trauma unit in every small town. Go to hospital, keep stable, helicopter/ambulance to the nearest proper facility as needed.
Georgia's rural communities have been hit hard by the ongoing healthcare crisis. Nine rural hospitals have closed in Georgia since 2010, making the state the third in the nation for hospital closures. "These hospitals provide us with good quality care and access in rural Georgia. We talk about broadband, and you shouldn't be limited on broadband because of your zip code. "Well, you shouldn't be limited on quality healthcare either because of where you live," explained state Sen. Larry Walker, R-Perry. With 26% of Georgians living outside of urban areas, the closures have a devastating effect on the communities they serve. A shocking new report from Chartis, and first reported in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, found that 18 of Georgia’s 30 remaining rural hospitals are at risk of closure, with Georgia Republicans’ failure to expand Medicaid named as a key factor. “Not expanding Medicaid is hurting Georgia,” said Michael Topchik, the study’s author. “It’s not a political statement, it’s just what the data says.” “Georgia Republicans’ failure to fully expand Medicaid has left 60% of our rural hospitals on the brink of failure,” said DPG Executive Director Tolulope Kevin Olasanoye. “The Georgians who currently have no choice but to travel multiple hours just to see a doctor need real health care and real leadership: they’re getting neither from Brian Kemp and Republican leadership who again refused to expand Medicaid this legislative session.”
I don't. He is bought and paid for by the NRA. Three things Trump prioritizes in life are taking time to golf, attending NRA Conventions, and holding fundraisers at his resorts. When sh*t hits the fan the NRA meets with Trump and he backs off from any gun restrictions. That's exactly what he did after the Parkland shooting. He also made sure to speak at the NRA Convention in Texas right after the Uvalde massacre. Trump makes his policies based on who pays him most to serve their agenda. Just a few examples of many.... In 2016, the NRA spent more than $30 million on behalf of the Trump campaign In the nearly 10 years since the Sandy Hook shooting, the NRA has spent more than $100 million to help elect Republicans who will support their extreme agenda, including Donald Trump. 2018 President Donald Trump enthusiastically embraced the National Rifle Association, vowing not to tighten U.S. firearms laws despite suggesting after a Florida school shooting that he would take on the powerful gun-rights group. May 2022 Speaking in the state where a deadly elementary school shooting left 19 children and two teachers dead this week, former President Donald Trump backed up Republican calls to resist new gun restrictions. Feb 2024 "Every single Biden attack on gun owners and manufacturers will be terminated my very first week back in office, perhaps my first day," Trump said in a speech at the Great American Outdoor show in Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania May 2024 At an NRA meeting in May Trump boasted that as president he stood by the organization and did not bow to pressure to implement new gun restrictions. July 2024 “President Trump has made an outstanding choice in selecting Senator Vance as his vice presidential pick and running mate in the upcoming election,” said Randy Kozuch, Chairman of the NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF). “Senator Vance has been an unwavering supporter of constitutional freedoms, especially the right to keep and bear arms. In the U.S. Senate, he has consistently stood against the Biden-Harris gun control agenda. Between now and November, the NRA and its millions of members will engage with America’s gun owners about the importance of electing the Trump-Vance ticket.”
