I'm only here to testify, if and when we start having the same 3rd quarter issues as last year .. Letting teams back in games because Sark gets cute with his playcalling..
I'm scared of how much we're favored in this game. The Big House is a storied environment and the only knock against Michigan seems to be that they lost their starting quarterback to the draft. That seems overblown when he barely threw the ball last season.
Scared because UT is favored on the road...Scared because the Texans are favored on the road... I ain't skeered.
Historically he gets hurt, can’t win big games. I think we’ll see Arch play sooner than later. If Quinn is playing poorly I predict Sark puts in Arch.
He was heathy all last season, beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa, won the Big 12 championship game, and came within one possession of going to the natty. Yes, his last throw against Washington was bad. But, he was playing from behind the whole game because Penix was torching our secondary. Sometimes you just lose games and UW was better than us in the Sugar Bowl. I think Ewers has earned confidence until proven otherwise.
Almost is not winning... I guess my whole point is that we haven't had that "IT" QB since Vince Young. All Texas QBs that have followed have been close but just can't close it out either by injuries or poor play (e.g. McCoy getting hurt at the Natty, Ewers "almost" making the Natty). I get there are factors at play as well that impact a QB success. Still, I'm hoping Ewers can get take us all the way but I have my doubts. If not I'm hoping Arch is our next IT guy. Thanks for listening.
Colt might have gotten hurt in his last game but saying the all time leader in QB wins for Texas who once had the record for most QB wins in college football history wasn’t an IT guy is just insane.
