Yes, I was thinking same thing. While I like Sengun and definitely think he is a keeper, I certainly wouldn’t call myself a SOF….must’ve been my borderline all-star comment .
It's not technically a team option, it's that he has to keep his weight within a certain range and be healthy in general. So long as he meets the criteria, it's guaranteed.
Thanks that’s not quite as good a contract then, but still makes taking him on more justifiable. Is the health part figured by games played? I still wouldn’t trade Amen, Sengun, or Jabari for him much less add picks. In terms of fit it would have to be Jabari or Amen and that would absolutely ruin our chances at a top rated defense and hurt our rebounding pretty profoundly as well. A superstar to me either has to be Stephen Curry good on offense or great on one side of the other and near great on the other side of the court.
Zion looks skinny these days for his standard. If he's able to dominate a whole year in that slimmed down body without getting injured in the playoffs, then I'll believe it. Otherwise, it remains to be seen. There's no doubt a healthy Zion is a dominant player in this league.

Definitely not a bust. Former all-star. Eric Gordon had the exact same rep for never playing and came to Rockets and if it weren’t for the crooked refs would’ve won a title or two. He’s our next EG!!!
[Dua] Regarding the mandate on trading Zion - over the last 24 hours I've heard more and more that Dumars wants a chance to get through to Zion. There's hope among decision makers that Dumars can connect with Zion in a way David Griffin never could.
Zion is such an intriguing talent that you want to take a chance on him. From the Rockets perspective, the fit doesn't seem to be there, but either way, I would be tempted. Such a talented guy if he would just stay in shape and take care of himself.
