Just to be clear. Ime will not bench Green just because of poor shooting. If the team is winning, Green is making good decisions, breaking defenses down, playing good defense etc, he won't be benched. Ime doesn't bench dudes just because of some poor shooting. He benches based on bad decision making, turnovers and poor defensive effort.
What a wonderful email I received this weekend. A notice from Amazon that my NBA LP will renew October 1. So close. #soon
I think that is to be determined by the circumstances. Ime wants to win this year - the goal is to make the playoffs in a stacked West. If the team is winning despite Jalen shooting ~30%, the leash will be long. If the team isn't winning and Jalen is shooting sub 30% .... He is at risk and anything approaching the 17.5% shooting from 3 that he posted in 43 combined games last season will definitely get him the hook. It doesn't matter if you break down the defense if you don't convert those opportunities into points at something above 1:5.7.
OH MY GAWD IT CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH! WHEN DOES TRAINING CAMP START? ARE THEY AT LEAST GOING TO SEND US A GROUP PHOTO FROM THE BAHAMAS? WTF. GIVE ME SOMETHING!
You can preorder 2k25 HoF edition and get LP for free if you're interested. I see it in the PlayStation store for $135. It basically makes the game free.
I don't think Fred will leave. I get the impression that we will decline the team option but then extend him at a more reasonable yearly number. Unless someone else comes in with the sort of contract we gave to tear him from Toronto I think we will come to a compromise. Agreed on the other 2.
The problem is that when you look at the stats for the other players around FVV (be it RAPTOR, WAR, VORP), they are all making around $40m+ per year. The one thing working on our side is that there doesn’t appear to be a team that can make a $40m offer next summer. And I think if the team declines the option and then resigns, the player gets a no-trade clause. Unless they are actually planning to let him walk, I think I’d just pick up the option.
Oh? I had no idea about the no trade clause. Interesting. I was hoping he would accept a mentor role to benefit Reed for a little while longer.
I’m thinking I remember that no-trade thing correctly. FVV should still be immensely valuable to a team trying to win. The more I look at the landscape, it might be smart to decline the option and negotiate the longer contract in order to have a tradeable commodity. I just don’t think they would get much discount off that $40m. They could probably crunch the numbers and see what a decent team could offer and give him something around there, but it’s probably still in the mid- to high-30s.
It would be really freaking great If Jalen and Alperen up their shooting some, so we can play Amen with them more often.
Thanks, I’d prob do that but i haven’t had a game system since PS3. Haha unless that’s an option for PC.
Pc version of 2k is usually undercooked. Wouldn't recommend 2k on PC. 2k management treats their PC ports like red headed step children.
