Tale of the tape. Reds get 8 hits and 4 walks in 4.2 innings off of Verlander- scoring 5 runs Astros get 3 hits and 3 walks in 2.1 innings off of Spiers- scoring only 1 run.
to be fair... they just balled out 4 games against a good team at home, finished yesterday's game and traveled to CIN to play a game not even 22-23 hrs later. Enjoy the off day w rest & homework... take W/Th with those who ARE on fire right now, Arrighetti/Brown
- Verlander sucked - Reds got most of the luck - Guardians won too (4 games back) SMH Win the next two, win the series.
Luck of the Tape Reds get two runs on a blooper. Astros smoking pitches for outs (DP included). Bregman and Tucker DNP, and Singleton is still overweight.
If there was any justice in the world, Chris Conroy would get the win. He pretty much decided the outcome of this game single-handedly.
Yordan's hit goes into the stands for the automatic double. I knew then the comeback was not happening.
JV a pitch away from 5 IP/1R and 5IP/2R his last 2 outings. His first outing was 5 IP/2R. That would be a 3.00 ERA and we wouldn't be really all that concerned. He's not getting enough swing and miss. His delivery mechanics are probably still a bit off from the long time on the IL.
I think so but they were at home yesterday. Astros having to travel back home from Philly, play a game immediately on Thurs then get on a plane and go to Cincy to play a day game at the end of a 18 game stretch with no off days is kind of ridiculous honestly.
Pretty much the same as the other games. Fastball sat 93 and slider was 86-88. Ramped it up to 95 at the end of the game.
