No one should give concessions for the release of hostages, because it encourages the taking of hostages. The fact that historically the concessions have resulted in additional acts of terrorism simply lends more weight against the idea. The correct response to hostage takers is to capture or kill them. Under no circumstance should their demands be met.

Not necessarily. Japan at one point perhaps still does have a policy to always pay for hostages.

France and Germany regularly pay ransoms for hostages.

While those nations have had hostages taken, it hasn't been at a far greater pace than U. S. or the UK

Hostages should be viewed as dead upon taking. If you want to try and rescue them that’s fine but States should not be shaping foreign policy or their national futures because of hostage taking blackmail.

I recommend people do their best to limit their chances of ever being taken hostage by any terrorist organization or regime.

Its often due to peoples own negligence.

    He is telling the truth.

And the evil antisemitic communists on this forum are on the wrong side of history, siding with murderers, and demonizing the elected prime minister representing the victims.

    Pure evil.

I understood your point a LONG time ago (since gross generalization is a common thought pattern of yours) and completely reject it, as it relies on broad generalizations and flawed logic.

Just because A occurred at time Y doesn’t mean B will occur at time Z.

This reasoning is akin to that which supports genocide: if A is a Palestinian, then every Palestinian is a potential terrorist, and thus it's justifiable to eliminate all of them.

You may continue with your generalizations, and I will keep dismissing them as basic logical fallacies.

The FACT remains that no one charged with murder was released in exchange for the Oct 7 hostages, according to Netanyahu. Additionally, the release of prisoners has not been a primary reason for Israel rejecting the deal; there are other issues at play.

Using insults and generalizing negative stereotypes doesn't cover your lack of concern for the hostages and Israeli citizens, it only highlights it.
