Really want to see Jabari turn into a fighter. Just a dude playing with a constant chip on his shoulder and looking to get into a scuffle. It would greatly boost his confidence and the play of the team.
The video was nice. I hope Udoka is keeping the players on their toes. They're still young and inexperienced.
Stats can be deceptive though. Houston 23/24 Month.............Rtg.........stat..........team ranking November........ORtg........118.0.............12th ..........................DRtg.......109.8...............4th December........ORtg.........114.5.............22nd ...,.....................DRtg.........113.1..............2nd March..............ORtg........121.9..............2nd ......w/Sengun 119.3...w/o Sengun 123.2 .........................DRtg........112.4..............4th........w/Sengun 111.1...w/o Sengun 113.1 April.................ORtg.........116.9..............8th .........................DRtg.........120.3..............29th ________________ April Fact is when Dallas ended the winning streak at the end of March, it was done, party was over, Warriors and Lakers were playing well enough that those final 8 games didn't matter. Team exerted too much energy and guys were missing games at the end. Green was playing but from what I remember.....he was nursing an injured right hand from dunking. To be top 10 in defense all year and then drop to 29th says it all. March First 5 games (Sengun ) Mar 2 Suns (Lost)......Suns healthy Mar 4 Spurs (won) Mar 6 Clippers (won) Westbrook out and no Harden Mar 8 Portland (won) Brogdon and Jersmi Grant out Mar 10 Kings (won) ....Kings healthy (Sengun injured in 4th) 5 teams records were .458 winning percentage (before game) ____________ 10 games (without Sengun) Team records were .405 winning percentage (before game) November (Amen and Cam Whitmore out most games......Rockets relatively healthy all month) Nov 1 Hornets (1-3 record) (won) Miles Bridges suspended, Cody Martin Nov 4 Kings (2-3 record) (won) DeAaron Fox and Trey Lyles out Nov 6 Kings (2-4 record) (won) same. Seems like every team in Nov and Dec were missing top player(s) while we were healthy for the most part. Deceptive.
LOL Jalen fans are hilarious. This whole conversation started with the fact that we played a bunch of tanking teams and teams missing their stars ala (SGA), but Jalen fans didn't want to factor any of this into the equation when he was doing well. Now that it fits his narrative better he wants to say the Rockets were tanking and the teams were missing players... Get out of here with this non sense. The fact of the matter is we did not get better on Defense and we were not a better team.
Yeah I'm not interested in your crybaby b*tching. Nov and Dec were equally as weak as March. Cry me a river kid. Your just made that someone looked up this stuff from the box scores. You inflate weak teams to 10 in March when there was only about 7 (Bulls made the play-in.....Jagoff). So, Nov had 8 sub-500 teams. You make a big deal about Nov/Dec...but they weren't worth writing home to mama about. Just a bunch of nothing.
You alright dude? Do you need some therapy, getting all worked up. I guess you just mad that you spent all that time looking up and writing about our opponents only to prove my original point. Why would would I be mad that you looked this up? Like I said, this whole conversation started with the fact that Jalen Fans didn't think we played against scrubs during his hot streak. They love his month of march and just completely overlook April like it didn't even exists. So how come its okay to say we were tanking in April but not admit that the Wizards, spurs, blazers, bulls and Jazz were all tanking. Oh and the only real contender we played was missing their MVP. Bulls making the playin is only due to the fact that every team in the East was basically tanking and someone had to make it. They had a losing record in one of the worst conferences we can remember. The rockets woulda been like the 4th seed in the East. Do you actually believe the bulls were good not to mention they were missing Lavine and Patrick Williams. You can't just write a narrative when it works in your favor. I am totally fine admitting we played some bad teams in November and December, I also gave the credit to Tari Eason being around. You guys on the other hand can't admit it even if its staring you in the face. Because what was the point of you typing it up. If I don't factor in Opponents our best defensive month was still November and December. If I factor in opponents our best defensive months was November and December. The fact that anyone thinks our defense got better is just fooling themselves. Not to mention our worst defensive month all season was April... Like how you conveniently try to spin it to 7 bad teams. Do we really need to break it down again. Here is every game we played in march and our defensive ratings. What argument do you want to make? We were better against the Spurs when Sengun played the first game. What is really skewing our numbers is we got to play Portland and had a 96.6 rating. Without Sengun we played 3 quality opponents. Cleveland was missing Evan Mobley and Max Strus. OKC was missing SGA. Dallas blew us out the gym... What everyone fails to realize about defense is that having a good efficient offense helps your defense. If you constantly take bad shots and turn the ball over your defense will suffer. Having a good offensive Hub like Sengun gets us better half court offense shots which helps us throughout the course of the game on defense as well because it limits the fastbreaks and transition points.
Whatever the competition was the Rockets roster wasn't suited to win those games without Green anyways given an absurd on/off impact that month where the team was a like a -6 ppg differential when Jalen rested where he was literally the only player on the roster where he team was a negative pt differential when they rested. The team was still positive even when Fred rested. -6 pt differential per game from one player resting means the team was one of the worst teams in the NBA when that one said player rested during a 13-2 month. That is absurd impact. What I cared for more was how defenses played Jalen during that stretch. No matter how you squint, the OKC game was mad impressive given so many high quality defenders thrown at him and him doing magic from it. SGA is a good defense but the Thunder weren't an elite defensive run it because of SGA. It was because of Chet, Dort, JDub, Wiggins etc. Also this was a stretch where Sengun, Cam and Tari all were missing. So that I'm sure off sets some of the players missing on opposing teams.
Here you go again spitting the same old stuff. This isn't even about Jalen. Literally all I'm trying to point out is our defense wasn't better.
It’s absolutely insane. Our guy played good basketball for 1 month, and absolutely terrible for the rest of the season, and we have excuses for every single day he woke up feeling sleepy. Add Courtney Lee to the Rockets last year and we win 5-10 more games. Thank goodness we have Ime Udoka holding him accountable. Our best lineup did include Aaron Holiday at SG, btw. FACT.
I can never imagine Jabari Smith having Kevin Garnett dribbling skill. Jabari Smith had the ball in the backcourt took 2 dribbles and was stuck and trying to pass the ball up. Jabari makes me shake my head almost every game he plays.
Most often the team that wins the championship is not the best team......it's most often who is the healthiest. Rockets were quite easily one of the healthiest teams in Oct-Nov-Dec. Cam Whitmore and Amen were rookie fringe players that would not have factored in at the time. March had some teams tanking and some teams with injuries..... but Houston has injuries as well. Dingbats like you think losing Sengun, Eason, Cam Whitmore (after being established). Eason being on of the biggest reasons we missed the playoffs as a major, "Glue Guy." There is some give and take that goes both ways. But you are showing your basketball I.Q. , or lack there of. November alone just on the surface teams sported a .514 winning percentage prior to playing us.....but it's negated when they hold out key player or players. The dynamics change, like when: Kings had DeAaron Fox out against us on Nov 4 and Nov 6. Kings are not nearly the same team without Fox. Two wins Rockets Lakers without Anthony Davis and Vanderbilt are a totally different team without AD. Nov 8th.....win Rockets Pels without CJ McCollum, Jose Alvarado, Herbert Jones, Trey Murphy is a completely different team without them like on Nov 10th. Win Rockets. Nuggets without Jamal Murray like on Nov 12th and 24th are turds not Nuggets. Rockets win two from turd Nuggets. Grizz without Morant, Steven Adams, Marcus Smart, Xavier Tillman, Brandon Clarke, might impress you.... but doesn't impress me. Win Rockets. Same goes to say with : Grizz Dec 13th and 15th without Morant, Bane, Marcus Smart, GG, Brandon Clarke. Two wins Rockets. Mavs Dec 22nd without Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Exum, Dereck Lively. Yeah this game was so much tougher than those in March. STFU. Rockets win. When you are a basketball junkie like me that eats, drinks and sleeps basketball, I don't mind spending a little time looking up some stats or box scores in order to teach a Sentard a thing or two about basketball. I give you the last word, because I know it's something stupid. If you keep being deceitful, I will keep calling you out on it.
