The protesters are left-wing. I understand the desperation. And I cannot say that Netanyahu is without faults, who is.

But he is the elected prime minister of Israel.

The fact that free protests are allowed in Israel, even at a time of war, shows how different it is from its neighbors. Hamas murders people who protest against them.

Yet, idiotic leftists in the US side with Hamas and demonize Netanyahu.

I think a better framing is that you can't trust Hamas to honor a ceasefire, so you include a condition that if they don’t, the deal is off—which, last I checked (granted that was the deal from a few months ago), was the case. Additionally, IIRC, the end goal is a Palestinian state not ruled by Hamas but by other parties.

Israel would get the hostages back, and if Hamas breaks the ceasefire, Israel can continue their military campaign with greater support and without concern that the hostages would be killed.

Part of the suggested "deal" was also freeing the worst of the worst Hamas murderers and terrorists from Israeli jails.

You seem to think these guys will join the salvation army, once freed?

I don't think there's must trust that they would. But the priority is getting a deal in place to secure any remaining hostages, and if Hamas breaks the deal then Israel can and will retaliate. This is what most people want, but Netanyahu is concerned with his own political survival first and foremost.

I doubt Hamas will ever release all the hostages, but you do what you can diplomatically to get as many released as possible. These hero rescue missions only put soldiers and the lives of hostages themselves in danger.

I'm sure that's what your tweet sources tell you.

The exchange is for Palestinian prisoners. In previous temporary ceasefire deals, many of these prisoners were women and minors, held for minor crimes, and Netanyahu stated that none of those released were charged with murder. The release of prisoners hasn't been a sticking point for the Israeli side.

Sinwar got freed in exchange for an Israeli hostage (after an Israeli surgeon saved Sinwar's life).

Your attempts at pretending that these people are in jail for speeding are embarrassing, dishonest, disgusting.

I posted facts and provided a link to Netanyahu's statement that no one accused of murder was released, which contradicts your claim. You responded with personal attacks. There is a candidate in the current presidential race with a similar personality.

He is the elected prime minster of Israel and if the leader fails to negotiate the safe return of his people no sht folks are gonna blame him and demonize him.

It's not an idiotic thing to get angry at the the man in charge since he failed his people.

Sinwar got freed in a hostage exchange and proceeded to orchestrate the murder of over 1,000 civilians.

    That's a fact.

Sinwar was released in 2011 and is not part of any October 7 hostages exchange.

I stated the facts, and you responded with personal attacks. Can you not keep your emotions in check?

Clearly, this is something very emotional for you. I'll let it go and give it a rest. Later, and have a nice day

You stated something basic and obvious. You keep discussing this conflict although you clearly don't even understand basics.

Of course Sinwar wasn't part of a hostage exchange after October 7 - he orchestrated October 7!

My point is, he was part of a prior exchange of terrorists for an Israeli hostage.

Ultimately, that led to way more deaths.

You let these guys out, they will commit even more murders.

ATW stance against hostage exchange is so mind numbling stupid. Let's never do hostage exchange ever b/c who knows if the next person that gets exchange could become the next Sinwar.

Any leader with that stance will fail every single fking hostage exchange and he will rightfully get condemn/blamed by his people when hostages die.

We don't even have to say how **** of a job Netanyahu is doing to bring the hostages back safely, folks in Israel are already doing it for us
