Champions League draw on right now with the new format. I'm sceptical about it but fine with Bayern's first opponents.

Very weird, I guess they are trying to create a "superleague" and trying to prevent the competing initiative. Wasn't aware that this is coming.

I understand the point that the final two group stage matchdays have become mainly dull, but just cannot acclaim a format based on coincidence (not everyone plays everyone).

I think I like the idea of the new format...just not necessarily more games. I'll certainly let this season play out before I pass judgement on it.

Where does he play, though? He’s not a traditional 9. He’s more of a winger and you’re not going to bench Saka…but he’s also not really a traditional winger that’s going to drop back and defend.

It’ll be funny to see him, Jesus, and Trossard on the field at the same time. You could stack all 3 of them on top of one another and they still wouldn’t be able to dunk a basketball.

He's going to play everywhere honestly, he can play both left and right wing, starting on the left in cup competitions probably. Besides cup competitions I don't think he plays much right wing though. Jesus with play strictly center forward nothing else, just inside box goal poaching, he's too injury prone so they'll probably limit his responsibilities. If Jesus goes down again I could see Sterling playing some minutes at false 9 with Troussard on the left and that could be interesting. Mainly I see him playing on the left for about twenty-five to thirty minutes in the second half of most of the games quality withstanding, if he still has some magic in those legs we could see Martinelli moved to the center forward position while Sterling and Troussard have a battle at left wing. There are possibilities but everything depends on how good he still is at this stage in his career, I'm honestly not sure what to expect.

VAR and handball penalties... what a nightmare. Destroying our football.

Both of these penalties were an absolute joke.

Team seems to have little to no plan so far. I don't really see why one would play Pavlovic over Palinha.

    Mueller a legend.

And Paul Wanner (on loan to Heidenheim) looks very promising.

We really need to revive this thread. Champions League is back this week and no one's posting.

So... how is everybody's club doing so far?
