    This 2024 staff is now firmly 3rd best during this 8 year run behind only 2019 and 2022.

    Can we muster enough offense in the playoffs? That 2022 team was not fantastic at the plate pushing across runs during the playoffs and still managed to win it all.

    If Astros get their hitting together before the playoffs, look out, because their pitching is lethal. In the not so distant past this season, the Astros looked like the "little sisters of the poor." Hitting is still sporadic, but pitching is in a groove. If they put it together, they could be a problem in the playoffs. Frankly, I never thought that could happen a month or two ago.

    How very close the Astros are being to 9-4 during this tough 2 week span.

    And I'm not even counting the extra inning loss to the Phillies or the excruciating loss to the Red Sox.
