Unfortunately with my wife and my combined incomes we seem to fall into a tax situation of having to pay every year. Not in any way wealthy but we seem to be the earners that fall in between the cracks. We paid 7k last year combined federal and state. And we claim 0 and I have elected every pre-tax deduction known to man. And give charitable donations I blame Trump and Biden both It does not help that I live in a highly taxed state. I suspect 250k combined earnings is upper middle class in Texas. Up here in NY not so much. I'm kind of in no man's land If you can guarantee me this will get better for me in 2 years you get my vote. But no one can.

I am in the same boat as you are and since I do business in California and not only do I pay Minnesota taxes I also pay CA taxes. I certainly don’t enjoy paying taxes and very much think our tax system needs a complete overhaul. Paying slightly more in taxes though is less of a concern about having a former president who several of his cabinet members and closest advisors said is unfit for office and a threat to the Constitution. Also to add Trump’s policies are likely to cost me more money as his blanket tariffs will increase prices and his immigration policy will likely increase the cost of construction.
That is her right to think that way. It is also Trump’s right to show up at Arlington. What isn’t their right is turn it into a campaign event or to use the gravestones of other soldiers who’s families didn’t invite Trump to have those included in photo op. It’s also not a right to shove cemetery staff who are just doing their jobs.

Those are four families out of thousands interred at Arlington National Cemetary. Again it's their right to invite Trump and it's Trump's right to attend. They don't get to decide though for all the other families interred at Arlington how the graves of their loved one's are used. Also the US Army is backing the employee that was shoved. Families didn't like Trump's photo op. The army is backing the claim that the Trump crew shoved the employee at the cemetary. It isn't surprising. Trump has a long history of being disrespectful to veterans and their families.
One clarification. Ireland no longer has universal health care for all. My wife's family was very vocal that only the immigrants have fully covered health care. This is from their mouths.
