Do they suck there as bad as the one by my house.........20 people in line and one friggin cashier who is sitting on a chair, no self checkout and always one dam cashier
Look, let's accept your argument and say that poor people are not doing well for various reasons. I certainly do not dispute there's large income inequality in this country. How would you say that Trump is going to help those people? The Biden admin has cut back on junk fees, forgiven predatory debt, expanded the child earned income tax credit temporarily though Republicans kept it from being permanent (Kamala wants to make it permanent), lowered drug costs, they've gotten gas pumping at historic rates which has lowered gas prices, and done things to get housing costs down among other things. Kamala is proposing to go even further with a lot of that. That's all real policy I can point to. Does it go far enough? Maybe not. Has it fixed every problem? Certainly not. But none of you are telling me what Trump would do better about it than Biden or Kamala, you are all just pointing to 2019 (everyone conveniently ignores 2020) like we will magically go back to that time. He will still inherit the economy as is, what's he going to do about it? All I got are tariffs that will make things infinitely worse for poor people by driving prices up. Maybe he'll cut some rich people taxes and those people with low disposable income can pray it trickles down to them?
Person, Woman, Man, Camera, TV. Wha? Trump would routinely take revenge on people who crossed him. I think we have a serious problem of income inequality that has grown worse by the decade. GDP and unemployment figures are masking that wages in low income households are falling further and further behind. The averages are going up but so are the standard deviations. We need a significant adjustment to the relative bargaining powers of capital and unskilled labor. What I think is perverse is that this phenomenon has been accruing political benefits to Trump, who won't do anything to preserve or augment the earning power of the working class (apart from promising everything will be better once he deports all the Mexicans), and has been punishing the Democrats who have been championing policies -- some good, some bad, and none going nearly far enough -- to reverse the trend (unions, minimum wage, tax policy, etc).
We finally got self-checkouts in my area within the last few months. It's made me not hate going there anymore.
Who has been saying the economy is booming in the second half of 2024? Sounds like you are doing a bit of gaslighting yourself.....
In Ireland. Every checkout person sits in a chair at the grocery stores. I thought it quite cool. The Aldi was fine. Good for cleaning supplies. We self checked out.
Because you actually think that money would be spent here. You somehow believe the money that was spent in Ukraine could have been spent here instead. You act as if we don't run a deficit as it is. "Oh well we would have had the money to do "x" if we hadn't spent it on Ukraine." Give me a ****ing break. Name a bill the GOP CONTROLLED HOUSE wanted to spend money to fund, but couldn't due to money spent on Ukraine. You really can't be serious with this.
they couldn't trust Kamala to perform even if given the questions in advance, so CNN gives her the answers on the spot! https://t.co/lMKjvVeUx4
Kamala is terrified of pulling a “Biden” in a debate performance. It’s understandable look how it ravaged Biden and spat him into the garbage can if I’m Kamala, I’m staying away from any debates, ride the wave of hopeful exuberance by the left
That money is being spent here. The arms industry IS welfare because it’s good paying jobs for goods we may never need.
I’d still vote for her if she started rambling talking about the old days and then falls asleep standing up.
Of course some would… I’d vote for Trump if he went up there took a crap on the floor and pissed towards Kamala , but that’s just me
