Spencer Arrighetti will be a really really good pitcher

For a 3 game set in wild card round... it's Framber and Brown in hopefully a 2 game sweep

Hilarious, but sad at the same time....

Assets that acquired some of those pitchers could've went to 1B (or another offensively deficient area).

Astros are still in a great position once/if Tucker returns.

I doubt any team truly *wants* to face Dynasty in the postseason.

Now that’s impressive. Dominated a great offense like Philly. 4 players in lineup ops over .800

How does his spin rate yesterday compare to previous starts?

Dana could've added a league avg hitter if he wanted to and added Kikichi. He chose not to do this.

I mean what would it have cost to trade for Gamel, Canha, Winker at the deadline?

Not much, I mean they cut Gamel.

I'm guessing a pitcher like Knorr and a prospect low level A ball or below A ball prospect.

I can't believe "too many pitchers" is still in anybody's vocab after everything that went down this season. If just one guy goes down right now we'll be right back in a bind again. Spencer and Blanco are well past career high innings, and tandem starting is a beautiful thing. The Kikuchi trade turned a weakness into a much needed strength.

Imagine if the young outfielders developed at the same trajectory of the young pitchers

Now we have Gamel and Knorr and low level prospects.

Getting Kukuci at the deadline was a master stroke move. Because now the Astros can go with a 6 man rotation to finish off the season, and hopefully keep their arms fresh for a Deep playoff run.

The offense is not elite as it’s been in the past, but it is very disciplined and gives you very profesional at bats. They don’t strike out much, they don’t walk much, but they do have good team at bats, resulting in lot of contact, and a high batting average; and when you put the ball in play, good things happen.

Another bat would have been nice, but pitchers need to be protected, because if they are overworked, they will be out of commission for the next year. And you can’t win without top tier pitching.

I don't think he ever would have made the big leagues in most organizations.

    The Astros literally rebuilt him.

Teams gonna try poaching Astros' minor league pitchers in every trade.

I'm curious. How did they rebuild him? Just really coached him up?

They should also be in a bidding war to hire ... Jeff Luhnow.

Do you think he takes a discount if the Astros try and sign him or does he go, hey I am good now, pay me. Its night and day from his stint with the Blue Jays, he looks like a legit front of the rotation guy now, now its only a small sample size but the results are impressive

They still could've used another bat in addition to Gamel and it's possible that waiting could cost them a game or two that could cost them the division or god forbid a playoff spot.
