Have you ever been to Tennessee? It’s literally all mountains. LA sucks, absolute cesspool. Other parts of California are beautiful, LA not so much
I cannot imagine the Texans won't sign at least one QB to the practice squad since there are only two on the 53 man roster.
I think Texans fans are sleeping on Jacksonville. They went 6-1 after their bye week in '22; won a playoff game and then started '23 8-3. That's a 14-4 regular season stretch. And by all accounts, the primary driver of their poor finish last season was Lawrence's health. You could argue the '23 Texans are *very* similar to the '22 Jags. All of our hopes are pinned to a single rookie season. I'm fully on board but it seems no one is giving any thought to the idea that Stroud might not be *that* good - or, is and has a bit of a second-year step-back, which is very common for rookies. It's also not uncommon for unexpectedly good teams to take a step back. The NFL trash heap is littered with teams who were anointed preseason darlings. Again, I'm not arguing that *will* happen. I just think we're moving REALLY fast here.
When do we transition to the 2024 Season thread with individual game threads? I'm ready to discuss the Dolts. Hacksonville KitKats *****apolis Dolts Tinysee Tit**s
I would be willing to bet this is *exactly* how Jag fans (all 12 of them) were acting after the ‘22 season and well-into the ‘23 season. If you win 14/18, the hype isn’t “unwarranted.” It wasn’t a small sample size. Would not surprise me at all if Jacksonville is a playoff contender this year. They have a lot of talent.
Pointing out that fans might be taking a division rival too lightly has nothing to do with getting hyped and/or riding the wave. Jacksonville spanked the Texans - in Houston - in week 12 last season. Assuming their fall-off was mostly rooted in Lawrence not being healthy, it would not surprise me if they are a problem this year.
I don't really consider a 3 point loss to be getting "spanked", especially given all of the injuries the team was dealing with
I'm not taking them lightly. In fact, the AFC South may be the best Division in the AFC this year. But I think this team is 5 games better than last year's team and we'll take care of business.
Yah, no. They didn't spank the Texans...they barely won thanks to the bullsht Tank call back. Only Texans did the spanking in the first game. It's okay to be hyped. Jags are frauds with an overrated and overpaid QB
