I know the Hypists think they are heaping praise on the Texans by repeating the mantra of being "Ahead of Schedule." But I'm sick of it. Every year's team is different and faces a different challenges. Well we only think they should be ranked 8th because they surprised everybody last year, but they are "ahead of schedule." WHO the HELL wrote that schedule and why give it any respect whatsoever?
I agree, I think Case is banged up but I don't think DeMeco or Nick had any plans to play him this season and seeing how well he knows the system and good of an assistant qb coach he was for C.J plus the extra work he does with Tank, Hutch and Metch, he had to be on this team.
I think we wound up at the same place, but just got there by a different route after the Emergency QB uncertainty. He effectively receives his full NFL pension, his full salary and begins his coaching career. And there is now no uncertainty about his taking a roster spot. Unfortunately, the idea of the emergency third QB has been shelved by requiring them to place them on the 53 man roster. The situation of two QBs going down and having to fill in with a non QB is still hanging over every team.
If the Texans or any team for that matter has to rely on a 3rd string QB were already in deep doo doo, Maybe Boyles to the Practice Squad, it really needs to be a person who at least practiced in this offensive scheme, as much as Boyles sucks he at least knows a little
That would be Akers as QB 3 in an emergency... https://www.maxpreps.com/ms/clinton...&videoid=e457d998-b110-443b-980e-f898cb55872b
For me, Brown/Beck/King were the ones I didn't want to see leave. Good news. He can be a safety blanket for the rook. Instantly their 2nd best receiver while baby McCaffrey adapts to the league.
For now we can call it Halfback along with Jordan and Stover. Each has different skills which include running and catching and a couple block.
