I changed to drinking it black because it seems to me that it causes me less tummy troubles than if I drink it with milk. Also, this could have gone into the unpopular opinions thread lol.
You have to build up to it and make yourself like it. But yes, being able to enjoy extreme bitterness is a badge of honor I suppose.
We're not better because we drink coffee black, we're better and we drink coffee black. But fr I do put a bit of heavy whipping cream in there now. No sugar, no carbs, doesn't make it sweet. So maybe I can't ally myself with the coffee purists anymore. I just don't understand why so many people turn coffee into a cup of iced diabetes. Just get a ****ing milkshake.
I love a good cup of HOT black coffee. Once it starts to cool down to warm/lukewarm, no thanks. Also I’ll occasionally have a pumpkin spiced latte with the wife, sue me.
That is interesting because I used to drink it black for many years until I began having issues with acid reflux, etc. My doctor suggested adding milk to my coffee and it has been much easier on the system since then.
I only feel "better" when I'm in line at a coffee shop and the person ahead of me is ordering the iced latte frappucino caramel swirlie fizzlepop delight and I'm like, "can you just pour some ****ing coffee in a cup and let me go?"
Haha. I've gotta say, I drink it black. I like the taste of coffee. Then again, I prefer a Guinness draught to any light beer.
in the afternoon I'll have tonic water poured over a big cube, and a shot of espresso on top. extremely refreshing.
