The problem wouldn't be that he was a drug user, or even that he did sell some drugs back in college. It is doing that and then aligning with someone that said this: "We're going to be asking everyone who sells drugs, gets caught selling drugs, to receive the death penalty for their heinous acts," Trump said. "Because it's the only way." I don't think the babysitter allegation is untruthful. He didn't deny it when asked and seemed to indicate that type of behavior might be something he would have done. Though I applaud him for sending her an apology even though she didn't accept it. What I don't like about RFK Jr is that he pretends to be this open-minded and honest guy, but lies about his own vaccine denialism frequently. I don't like that he basically whored his endorsement out there. I don't like that he would endorse a guy that pretty much stands against everything he's ever stood for beyond conspiracy theories. I'd vote for the guy RFKjr pretends to be. I would not vote for the guy he actually is.
How are you even connecting what Trump said in regards to the fetty distribution and opioid epidemic in recent years, to RFK Jr selling coke in college 50 years ago? Story seems strange to me and more for publicity, but I wasn't there RFK seems passionate and knowledgeable about what he's talking about. What denialism lies are you referring to? He's said his kids are vaccinated. He is just against mandates. It's the Democrat party and its media arm that shut out RFK, which is why he went to Trump. They did the same thing to Bernie in 2016 and the same thing to Tulsi Gabbard when she laid Harris' 2020 campaign to rest. But even worse because the actual media stations blocked him out too so he couldn't even speak. At least Bernie was still able to appear on TV several times in 2016. With the Dems already doing that, he reached out to the Harris campaign as a courtesy/sign of respect, but knew they wouldn't accept.
Good post. In terms of him whoring himself out, I can dream up a sympathetic take, even though I still don't like the guy: Assume you have one singular passion (e.g. convinced vaccines cause harm) and think you have to advance this cause. Then you might be willing to sacrifice everything else if one politician, even a Trump, will give you a seat at the table on the national stage. I saw RFK Jr. speak, like 20 years ago, in San Francisco. He was on about the climate and he gave a fantastic, compelling talk. It was clear that he really believed in what he was saying. But he wanted to be higher profile too, you could just tell. He had the umbrage from a "I should be a contender" sort of vibe, I'll call it. And I guess he moved on to a new passion that fewer legit people had carved out for themselves: vaccines. And I do believe he believes all this (what I scientifically consider nonsense) about vaccines large-scale harming kids.
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has taken the lead over former U.S. President Donald Trump nationally, with 47% of voters supporting her compared to Trump’s 43%. Among likely voters, Harris leads 49% to 45%. She has gained strong support among women, with 53% backing her, while 45% of men favor her. Trump’s base remains predominantly male, with 47% support from men, compared to 41% from women. Harris also holds substantial advantages among Black voters (73%), Hispanic voters (51%), and white college-educated voters (57%). Trump, however, continues to command strong support among white voters without a college degree, with 59% favoring him. “Since her elevation to the top of the ticket, Vice President Harris has effectively appealed to women voters, and the gender gap has become more pronounced,” said Luzmarina Garcia, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science at FAU. “Harris has also reestablished the Democratic Party’s advantage with minority voters.” Trump’s Support Erodes Among Independents Harris has also made significant inroads among Independent voters, now capturing 48% of their support, compared to Trump’s 35%. https://www.fau.edu/newsdesk/articles/aug24electionpoll
Because death sentence for drug dealers would apply to RFK. RFK seems... He isn't though. You are believing him while ignoring other times when he has specifically gone on record telling people not to take vaccines. It is the exact reason he gets to be somewhat mainstream. Listen to the I'm just asking questions. Ignore what he actually says and does. They were right to not platform RFK. Tulsi was right about the DNC, but she never resonated with Democrats. Bernie is the only one that actually got screwed by the DNC. Punishment for being an independent.
I honestly didn't peg you two as the ones who would make fun of a senior for looking weird in a photo. Those other clowns, for sure they would, but you guys are better than them.
It might just been their response for Donald saying he's much more beautiful than Kamala. Just a closer look maybe.
You must have me confused with someone else. I will absolutely point out the hilarity of presenting Trump as a symbol of "health".
?? I honestly didn't make fun of his looks in that post, though I have before. It's a brutal photo, and I stand by that statement as well as this one: being POTUS is clearly brutal to most people who spend time in the role, in terms of aging them and their appearance. How could it not be? On topic, I would not normally make fun of someone's appearance, unless they clearly step forward and make themselves a public figure. Especially after the advent of TV, appearance is (regretably) super important in politics. A sweating Nixon found that during a televised debate with JFK. Trump's height has been a help to him on crowded stages, for another example. It's not right, but humans gonna human.
RFK Jr.’s attempt to remove himself from the ballot in all key swing states has failed. He will remain on the ballot in Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. Damn those anti democratic rules.
Can't wait to start my youtube channel explaining to wingers in those states why, if they want to play 3D chess and help Trump, they should actually vote for RFK Jr.
The post office takes active steps to fight mail fraud - it's called the post office inspection office. On Telegraph, he knowingly allowed it to happen, including allowing for child sex trafficking. I don't know how anyone can defend him. Dude has 100 children - clearly he's up to some slimey stuff. For someone who is so worried about children and their sex being harmed, you'd think you'd be more outraged for him not being arrested sooner.
The telegram guy was arrested because of the leaked military/classified documents pertaining to Israel. This was leaked by an Israeli news source a few days before he was arrested. What you said about CP trade happening there is true but not the reason for his arrest no matter what they say. If it mattered then Mark Zuckerberg would be arrested too because there is worse stuff on FB/IG., but the difference is they cooperate with governments and Telegram wasn't doing that.
The AP does not mention classified military documents pertaining to Israel as a reason for his detention and questioning. It is generally required for platforms to moderate content to prevent the distribution of child p*rnography. In many countries, including the United States, laws and regulations mandate that platforms take proactive measures to detect, remove, and report such content. It appears that Telegram might not have been adhering to these requirements, potentially violating several laws. What is Telegram, and why was CEO Pavel Durov arrested? | AP News Why was Durov arrested? Durov was detained in France as part of a judicial inquiry opened last month involving 12 alleged criminal violations, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office. It said the suspected violations include complicity in selling child sexual abuse material and in drug trafficking, fraud, abetting organized crime transactions and refusing to share information or documents with investigators when required by law. As of Tuesday morning, he had not been charged. He can be held for questioning until Wednesday evening, at which point judges must either charge him or release him. Does Telegram moderate content? Western governments have often criticized Telegram for a lack of content moderation, which experts say opens up the messaging platform for potential use in money laundering, drug trafficking and the sharing of material linked to the sexual exploitation of minors. Compared to other messaging platforms, Telegram is “less secure (and) more lax in terms of policy and detection of illegal content,” said David Thiel, a Stanford University researcher, who has investigated the use of online platforms for child exploitation, at its Internet Observatory. In addition, Telegram “appears basically unresponsive to law enforcement,” Thiel said, adding that messaging service WhatsApp “submitted over 1.3 million CyberTipline reports in 2023 (and) Telegram submits none.” In 2022, Germany issued fines of 5.125 million euros ($5 million) against the operators of Telegram for failing to comply with German law. The Federal Office of Justice said that Telegram FZ-LLC hasn’t established a lawful way for reporting illegal content or named an entity in Germany to receive official communication. Both are required under German laws that regulate large online platforms. Last year, Brazil temporarily suspended Telegram over its failure to surrender data on neo-Nazi activity related to a police inquiry into school shootings in November.
well it doesn't matter if the AP didn't say it because there are more sources than the AP: https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news...ret-data/00000191-6bd7-d1ee-afb5-6bff8a510000 The AP is hella slow. and again, FB execs allowed to roam free even though that platform is just as bad, if not worse due to the wide use/mainstream audience.
