    One way to look at it. I think the society made it part of their identity n they've just embraced it, instead of being shameful or something about it. Thats why they post those cringe photos like "we like guns, think w/e the hell you want of it". But I could be wrong, its just the way I see it.

    They haven't had recent leaders of their nations attempt to overturn their elections in order for their leader to try and unlawfully hold on to power. Their electoral systems are quite different.
