Singleton at DH while Caratini goes to 1B.

    That’s a sizable b**** slap to Big Jon’s face.

Does Altuve really need another rest day? Now who is going to swing at pitches 10 ft outside of the zone?! Glad Alvarez is back though.

    Whitcomb at 2B feels scary

Why oh Why wouldn’t you play Dicenzo again. Whitcomb and Dicenzo should be playing every day. We need to know if either can be worthy for the playoffs. We already know Singleton is not. Get these guys at bats every day. No use wasting another day on Chas or Singleton.

If using your logic that skipping a start will help "keep them fresh", it would make way more sense to skip a Hunter Brown start then considering he's way more important to our playoff success than Blanco at this point. This whole narrative that Blanco is "deteriorating" isn't the real reason he hasn't been as good lately - the guy was never as good as his actual numbers suggested. He had been greatly outperforming his advanced stats all year.

Regardless, by going to a 6 man rotation, they basically are skipping a start.

Holy moly...I just noticed that the Phils owe Wheeler $42M/year for the next 3 years.

Altuve just had an off-day. I just want our regular top of the line-up back, especially against Wheeler. Personally I think they should have to earn the right to rest them by being up a series already but that's me.

He needs a break from that...maybe a stint on the IL to free up a spot.

Also, couldn't Altuve DH atleast???? Why Singleton? Don't tell me he slept wrong also...freaking Mattress Mack, the hell is wrong with his beds?

I actually do not see a path, besides injury, where Singleton does not make the playoffs roster.

Singleton has a 116 wRC+ vs RHP which is 6th best on the team.

And 85-90% of SP for playoff teams are RH.

Roy Oswalt and Dallas Keuchel also outperformed their advanced stats.

Maybe. I dunno he seems more like a corner infielder than a middle infielder.
