Anything more than 1 win is a bonus in 90% of 3-game series.

Eta- nevermind... I didn't think that thru properly

Skipping one start isn't going to have some huge impact. I don't think we are going to see him much in the playoffs regardless.

Let’s keep it going tonight boys! I’m in the gym watching game 6 of the 2019 ALCS. Insane that our lineup was Springer, Bregman, Brantley, Altuve, Correa and then Yordan.

Close: Springer, Altuve, Brantley, Bregman, Yuli, Correa and then Yordan. Not a bad lineup.

Phillies rotation lining up as it did for us was not very fortunate

"The straw that broke the camel's back"

I fully believe JV's Game 4 start vs Tampa on 3 days rest f***ed his next game and his following season. I also believe 2 skipped starts from Javier last season would've made him more effective the remainder of the year, and it played a role in his current injury.

The Astros are not desperate for wins right now with a 4.5 game lead. Blanco is pitching the most innings in his career, he's showing deterioration, and he hasn't had more than 6 days rest (besides his suspension) all season. The Astros starters (sans JV) are not showing any wear -- and there's little doubt extra rest for Blanco wouldn’t behoove him.

We don't know what starters will be healthy entering the playoffs. Why not take a "better safe than sorry" approach?

Lose the battle, win the war

IMO the most iconic hit ever in the history of this franchise, that ball was absolutely obliterated at the absolute moment it needed to happen. Lefty on lefty crime included makes it even more incredible......

We can't just limp into the playoffs with the worst team record. And that's where we stand. We've got to push all cylinders and keep the engines running until the job is done. We are here to win the World Series.

    I agree with this.

They do need him to help reduce Brown and Arrighetti's innings though.

I would stay with the 6 man rotation but limit him to 80ish pitches but that's tough too operating a man short in the bullpen.

lots of great hits on the list. Marwin’s game tying homer to extend game 2 of WS, springer homer to give us the lead in that same game, altuve’s homer in game 5 to tie the game, bregman’s single to win it, altuve’s homer off Chapman to win the 2019 ALCS. But yea that Yordan homer was insane and obviously won us the series which makes it even more special

Mariners got to face Wheeler and 2 AAA call ups.. The Wheeler game they got blown out and the other 2 they won. They're getting similar luck with their upcoming series vs the Rays with Eflin, Littell, and Baz being all out.

Given all the **** we had been through since Feb 2020 as fans of our team this actually meant more to me than 2017. That HR was a huge middle finger to the entire baseball world to say it wasn’t trash cans and we’re just that good…..

Diaz stays at catcher while Caratini moves to 1B. That’s the way it should be.

    Bregman is at 3B
