The people who keep on claiming it isn’t a tax don’t understand how tariffs work.

He's scared of her calling out his crimes, BS lies, and his insurrection and plots to strip away Democracy.

Honestly, I don't even care. All he does is stand up there spewing propaganda, lies, and promises he never intends to do anyway. He can't debate honestly. He's just running to delay his trials, in hopes to win and get full immunity. He needs the fundraising for his piggy bank to pay lawyer fees, fly around in his private jet, get attention at his rallies, do some quid pro quo with foreign leaders for money and overseas business ventures, and make tons of money at his hotels by hosting a bunch of fundraisers, endorsements for big donations, while he golfs, tweets, and promotes and sells his Trump merchandise.

Trump may be looking for a way out ... or he may be looking to renegotiate the terms of the debate to be more favorable to him.

I suspect that Kamala does not care either way. Kamala, right or wrong, thinks she will crush Trump in a debate and sees no reason to renegotiate.

Trump may decide that backing out of the debate is a better outcome than losing a debate ... but if he continues to lose ground in the polls, a debate might be the only pathway to get voters back.

It's not only a tax, it's a regressive tax (similar to sales tax) that affects the middle and lower class more- since they spend a bigger % of their income on essential goods. It's a thinly veiled form of wealth redistribution where the wealthy keeps more of their money and the middle and lower class take on the more of the tax burden to keep the government running.

Wrote a book that was widely regarded as good (I think). He was extremely anti-Trump but did a 180, became pro-Trump, ran for senator, and won in Ohio (though he underperformed - a sign that he wouldn't be a good VP). He then became excessively deferential to Trump, proclaiming his unwavering support through media appearances (he was advocating to be selected as his VP). An example includes him saying he would do what VP Pence wouldn’t.

It seems this is pretty simple: Trump really liked him and how he would do anything for him. Trump decided the race was over and didn’t consider what the public thought of Vance’s extremism and vulnerabilities to his campaign.

It's a win-win for Harris. If Trump backs out, he'll be seen as weak and watch his numbers dip further. If Trump shows up, he'll get Kamala'd.

Trump, I believe, has bought into his own BS and can’t tell the difference anymore. He doesn’t listen or learn because he has a mental disorder that makes him convinced he already knows everything and is the smartest. If you think you know it all and are the smartest, there’s no room left for learning.

It should be noted that tariffs have their roles (security, human rights, negotiation tactic). What Trump is doing is not using them that way.

I've heard more than once that Vance was Jr's idea.

I don't believe it will matter at all. At this point it doesn't matter what he spews out his mouth. Too many people, including most of his previous high staff associates, Generals, and others in high places who worked with him have said he is unfit to serve. Too many people feel he is a danger to Democracy.

There are people who simply think he is too old. There are people who don't want a pathological liar as a President. There are people who are disgusted over his attempt to steal the vote, incite a coup and insurrection, praise and honor the violent insurrectionists, and keep denying he lost. There are those who want gun reform. There are those who don't want their rights stripped away. There are also plenty of people who think he's a sociopath/psychopath. There are people who don't want a criminal, felon, and fraud in charge of our country.

He still has plenty of trials left, and could be charged with many more felonies. Many feel He's a huge security risk. After all, he lied and obstructed justice after taking boxes and boxes of highly classified info. Then, you have all the other personal traits that just repulse people. I think that most Americans don't want a man who puts himself first always, over country, especially when that man is a corrupt, lying, Dictator wannabe, and down right racist pig.

I can see some people saying ... Hillary/Kamala reminds me of my mouthy ex-wife.

I wonder if the same people would say ... Trump reminds me of my ex-GF ... first she says yes, then she says no, then she says maybe, I dunno, then she says ...

Trump backing out of the debate would be devastating…I don’t think he’d be able to recover from that
