What is the square footage of your home and what is your monthly electric bill approximately for July/August? Mine was $250 for July and home is 2000-ish square feet (excluding attached garage). I expect it to be around $315-ish for August. My thermostat is kept on 81 most of the time. Now, if I went 72 - 74, then I'm thinking it would be over $450 or $500. I just won't pay that much for a monthly electric bill. Hell nah.
5400-ish square feet…I would have to go and check, but I’d melt and die if the thermostat was on 81…I’d legitimately be uncomfortable and would sweat buckets in my sleep to the point you’d think I went swimming AC on no higher than 74 for me and I sleep with a fan
yea I use the window unit at night on 72 in power saver mode. But, 81 is my average during the hot months with central air. With the fan blowing , it feels much cooler. Of course, I don’t have Houston humidity versus DFW humidity.
u can tolerate heat way better than me, I can’t even imagine putting my thermostat that high…Idk what it is, but as the years go by, I’ve started hating the heat more and more…as a kid I loved the summer time in Houston and as I grew older I still didn’t have a problem with it, but that’s all changed the past couple of years…it’s just miserable when it’s 9 PM, and it’s still 85 degrees, no breeze, and mosquitos
The body definitely acclimatizes to higher temperatures incrementally but you don’t want to go from 74 to 81 any more than you would go from base camp at Everest to camp four without acclimatizing to gradual increases in elevation.
There's a dips!!t horny bird outside one of these windows...BEEP BEEP...BEEP BEEP...BEEP BEEP...constantly
This T-Mobile commercial where they got the two guys from the popular series "Suits" and all the guys do is make some stupid machine gun like noises followed by them, at the end, making the T-Mobile jingle. I assumed they were paid some stupid money to stand up there and act like idiots. I didn't even like it the first time I saw it. Why would it make me want to switch to T-Mobile?
the style of writing in news articles about celebrities where they reference their work.. The "Gold Digger" star was last seen at this night club. Brah. Just say Kanye.
The little debris that accumulates at the foot of the bed under the sheets. Even when you try to make sure your feet are clean, there is still stuff that gets down there. So, always have to roll back the sheets and swipe the area clean. If not done, then one little piece of debris can disrupt my sleep by rubbing against my feet.
Wow that is not good for your sized house, that is pretty much what mine is and I keep it at 74, year round....and my house is about 4k sq ft, with 2 units, and in the bedroom I basically installed a mini-split we turn on in the summer to get it to 70 while we sleep....and still my electric bill maxes at around 300 in the worst summer months. DD
yea I dunno. Do you have radiant barrier? I have a pool but that only accounts for $30 - $40 a month to run the pump. I probably need one of those efficiency analysis reports done. My HVAC is a 4 ton Lennox single speed. My energy price is around 14.5 cents a KWh.
When I'm scrolling through my TV guide and I see either "College Footballs Greatest Games" or "Classic NFL Games" and I get excited thinking it's going to be some classic game like The Ice Bowl or one of the "wide right" games so I click on the info.......and it's just some random game from last year. The NBA Network does the same thing. I'm expecting to see one of the Lakers/Celtics games from the 80's or Pistons/Bulls from the 90's.....and it's like the Bucks and Spurs game from last year...
I hate getting stuck behind the guy who has a pocket full of numbers for the lottery daytime and evening and mega millions and Powerball and pick 5. We have stores like circle K here in Albany NY called Stewarts in addition to lottery and all things convenience stores, they have ice cream and gourmet coffee drinks.. So I'm the dude who always get stuck behind the basic b**** that needs her iced pumpkin spiced latte and sundaes for the four kids sitting in the car. I hate that. All I want is to buy a bottle of seltzer.
