A 37-year-old Tennessee man was charged over alleged social media threats against President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Barack Obama, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Kyl Alton Hall was indicted Tuesday on two counts of threatening a sitting president or vice president and one count of a threat to a former president. Each charge could carry a penalty of up to five years in prison, according to the DOJ.

Authorities say the threats originated on the social media platform X. The Memphis-area man allegedly threatened to “kill, assassinate, shoot, and crash the plane” of Biden. He also threatened to assassinate Harris and Obama.

yet another republican threatening to kill politicians

Kamala Harris’s housing plan is the most aggressive since post-World War II boom, experts say

The upfront costs of boosting supply are far outweighed by the long-term costs of allowing the housing crisis to worsen, they warned.

“Our lack of affordable housing will continue to depress savings, opportunity and growth in ways that will do long-term harm to the nation’s economy,” Parrott and Zandi said. “A thoughtful effort to address the problem now will ultimately lead to more growth and less cost.”

In a Washington Post op-ed on Wednesday, they attributed the housing affordability crisis to a lack of supply, estimating that the U.S. needs 3 million more homes, almost all in the bottom half of the market.

The Harris plan released earlier this month aims to boost the inventory of affordable housing by encouraging more construction, while also offering $25,000 in down payment assistance for first-time buyers.

To overcome infrastructure shortfalls and any local political resistance, the Harris plan would provide more money for states and communities.

“Each of these moves would be meaningful on its own, but together they would amount to the most aggressive supply-side push since the national investment in housing that followed World War II,” Parrott and Zandi wrote.

For his part, Donald Trump told Bloomberg that he would lower housing costs by easing environmental and permitting rules. But he also has suggested at campaign events that he would limit low-income housing developments in suburbs.

(Typical Trump. Gotta keep em out of the suburbs!)

The Republican Party’s 2024 platform blames high housing costs on illegal immigrants and vows to deport them, which some housing experts have said would reduce the availability of construction workers and add to costs. The platform also promises a mix of demand- and supply-side measures.

“To help new home buyers, Republicans will reduce mortgage rates by slashing Inflation, open limited portions of Federal Lands to allow for new home construction, promote homeownership through Tax Incentives and support for first-time buyers, and cut unnecessary Regulations that raise housing costs,” it says.

The way those Republicans attempted it, it was nasty. I've seen them. The idea that only one party likes Brisket is laughable and foolish.

That is especially true when this is what Republicans have to offer...

I'm from TX. I have eaten enough of the best there is to know it. I smoke my own briskets, pork shoulder, ribs. Cornyn is also from Texas and is a Republican who thought he should post that crap and act like it was good brisket.

Don't dirty brisket by trying to equate it to politics. It's far above any political disagreements people might have.

just saw a clip of some far left pro-Palestinian protestors confronting AOC at a restaurant

these are the dumbest people on the planet…they are the 2016 Bernie Bros, but somehow 10x dumber

they are actively trying to undermine the only people who are even trying to get a ceasefire done…meanwhile Trump and the republicans want to turn Gaza into a resort and casino

I’ve seen these fools say they don’t protest republican politicians and won’t go to MAGA rallies because they’re scared they’d get attacked…these are not serious people…they’re performance activists

These dumbasses are helping Trump win, and if he does, then what? Pat yourself on the back because u “taught the Dems a lesson” while the people u supposedly care about get blown away?

Exactly - like the USA can do anything other than what they are doing - no one likes that war, but it isn't ours.

Who's more likely to be a hunter, butcher etc.? Republicans. Who's more likely to be vegan, vegetarian? Democrats.

You might be doing all that, but we're talking generalities

the group actively trying to undermine the Dems, heckling at rallies, providing bad optics by burning American flags during protests as well as putting maggots in people’s breakfast, and who were also protesting outside the DNC having businesses boarded up is then crying that they weren’t given a speaking slot at the DNC

    just a bunch of goofies
