Maybe you don't know how politics work? The goal is to get votes. That's it. If you aren't doing that, you are probably a dictator. How is that different than Trump's followers? I have insight! Water is wet.
Here are two tools to make sense of Trump statements to better understand the reality: Tool #1: If the statement is a positive statement, turn it into a negative statement ...and it makes sense. Tool #2: If the statement has an insult towards his competitors, remove competitor's name and replace with Trump ...and it makes sense. So using this example, we'll apply tool #1: "My Administration will be great for women and their reproductive rights." Change to: "My Administration will NOT be great for women and their reproductive rights." Fixed. In Trump's debate with Hilary, Trump said: "Nobody has more respect for women than I do." Change to: "Everybody has more respect for women than I do." Tool #2 examples: Trump said: "You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them together, and they would not have done the damage that Joe Biden has done in one year." Change to: "You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them together, and they would not have done the damage that Donald Trump has done in one year." Your welcome. We should make a game out of this. It's pretty fun!
What a great week put on by the DNC capped off with a very inspiring speech from Harris. Now the real work begins, we have 70+ days and they need to make them all count, the next biggest test is the debate. Trump does not debate well, he is great with the one liners and the zingers but he is going to need to change tactics.............................oh, who am I kidding, he will not change LOL. As we have all said, its not always the "issues" that win a debate but who comes off as "likeable" or "relatable". This debate will not be like the primary`s when she had to walk on eggshells with her fellow Dems, last night showed me a different Harris, one that could be compassionate and inclusive. I am on board 100%, she was not my first pick but she has won me over and I don't think she could have picked a better partner in Walz, he is everyone's favorite uncle who can hunt and fish and also cares about everyone. Will this be enough to sway that small section of undecided voters, we shall see but I feel this is still a 50/50 race and it will be won with the slimmest of margins..........................a part of me thinks once we get to Nov people will remember how the first go round was with trump and they will not vote for him and I could be 100% wrong and its a landslide but that's probably just wishful thinking PS - my goodness her sister Maya is stunning and she's 57......Whoa Nelly
How are you empathetic to Palestinians and defend maga at the same time? That's a weird combo. A lot of cognitive dissonance.
Accepted by who? All the Dems accept it on their side and all the Repubs accept it on their side. There is no conspiracy. The sun will also set again in a few hours from now. Are you amazed every morning when the sun comes back up in the morning? There is a lot to talk about but complaining that supporters support is weak sauce. Let's talk about actual stuff.
Different subjects brother. I'm not all the way to the right, there's a lot of things I agree with the democrats. Depending on what we're talking about money/taxes - reps, guns - reps, abortion -dems, socially-dems. Etc. I just happen to like Trump better than Kamala, but they got me here as the MAGA lover, sure idc.
That's like some insane cognitive dissonance. Donald Trump used the term "Palestinian" as a slur. How did you get to this place?
That's his problem, Biden said he was a Zionist. I mean, you get it. I've used to be a some-what devoted liberal, n believed everything they said, n then I've started to see the lies and the irony more frequently and slowly moved towards to center/middle. Now I'm more of a Republican but not all the way to the right. I'll vote democrat in '28 if I think their candidate is better.
You don't think Trump always referring to Obama as "Barak Hussein Obama" is a dog whistle to bigots who dislike foreigners from Muslim countries?
This is very "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" energy. The entire United States foreign policy apparatus is pro Israel because they are a long time strategic partner. Neither party will change the status quo of supporting the Israeli government. The difference is one side relishes in the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and the other side at least shows a modicum of empathy occasionally. At least that side understands their voting base is against it. The people openly rooting for ethnic cleansing aren't your friends. Donald Trump is a unhinged psychopath. How can you even like him more than Harris? That's just weird.
