Dana Bash is a sanctimonious idiot who is incredibly out of touch. Like the antithesis of where the MSM is a failure and ignorant to change. This is also overthinking it to the extreme. The fact is Kamala Harris picked Walz because she thinks he’s a relatable good man who can communicate well to the Midwest type of voter. I don’t think for two second Kamala Harris uttered the words “low testosterone man” when she was contemplating with advisers who she should pick. I also think that if Joe Rogan wanted to interview Kamala or Walz in good faith they’d take that interview all day every day. At least Walz would. Bernie is a surrogate for Kamala essentially and went on that Theo Von doucher’s podcast the other day. So there’s no evidence that they aren’t ALSO trying to get votes from dudes dudes too. I think they just generally want votes.
Since republicans or "Independent Conservatives" feign a fugue state from those 8 years, here's a starter: 2 Trillion dollar plus wars we're still reeling from Bloated government excess (DHS, medicare D, short lived public school reform) Backloaded trillion dollar debt from tax cuts that disproved Trickle Down Economics Couple of financial scandals and crises (Enron/Sarbox, Great Financial Crisis) We're still not over the GFC Under his watch, the race to the bottom by the Republican Party from Compassinonate Conservatism to this backwater Palinism we have today. You can blame DeLay, Dick Army, and Gingrich but he's the Decider. People can forgive and let go because "he's a nice person" compared to Trump, but that presidency was a shitshow and a generational turning point.
"And in that space between us, politicians and algorithms teach us to caricature each other and troll each other and fear each other." - Barack Obama
"Do you want to build a strong economy from the bottom up and the middle out? Or do you want to spend the next four years talking about crowd sizes? Since the end of the Cold War in 1989, America has created about 51 million new jobs—about 50 million under Democrats, 1 million under Republicans. 50 to 1! Coach Walz will tell ya, if you’re up 50 to 1—you’re winning!" - Bill Clinton TRUE: https://www.politifact.com/factchec...6-of-jobs-created-over-35-years-emerged-unde/
I thought we were talking about the primaries, and whether they were effective tools for choosing a candidate.
I don't know who smoked at the Scrote during that time when they killed Gore's right to a Florida recount. The bet would be Scalia. And you included Obama. Hillary had the inside track to win. She had more numerical and technical reasons to bury his fledgling campaign than whatever made Bernie Bros angry 8 years later, but she decided to let the primaries play out even though it would've been her best shot.
Yeah not one normal person who isn't a VC nut will give a crap about this. Yes... everyone knows that it sucks when you have to pay capital gains taxes on things like inheritances but those aren't issues that define the daily lives of people making a decision on who to vote. Viveks scenario is purposefully confusing (someone sells an asset, because of the tax it lowers the price for the person selling the asset, etc. etc. etc. insert "barber shop owner" blah blah) to try and scare people who are ignorant on how taxes work, and especially preying on people's ignorance that there has been some drastic change in tax policy from Obama to Trump to Biden in this area. Nobody gives a sh$t about the horrors that VS or private equity crooks have to go through when they heaven forbid have to pay taxes when they buy an investment and make money on it because of a scheme the cooked up with their old frat bro from Yale.
