Ok ladies y'all enjoy the comeback walk off win. I said if we held them to 6, we would find a way to score 7.
I wish Espada respected hot hitters more. We challenged Luis Robert when he already had 3 hits including 2 bombs against the White Sox. We challeged Duran who was already on base 4 times including a homer and their were 2 outs with no one on base.
What the **** happened to Walker Buehler? He’s 30 and should be in his prime. He used to be so dominant…now he’s giving up 6 hits and 3 walks to the Mariners in 3 innings. Even more impressive he hasn’t struck anyone out after the dude last night set a career high in Ks in only 3 innings lol
Yeah I thought he just had one but you are right he has had 2 of them. Usually guys bounce back from one so was surprising to see…but two kind of makes sense. Makes you wonder if Ohtani will come back the same.
Just caught the game. Inexcusable to throw a pitch middle-middle with 2 outs and none on of a tie game when the dude is already 3-3.
Astros doing well offensively considering there's no Bregs or Tuck, but we can't keep having sloppy games defensively -- not only does it lead to runs, but it adds to our PC too. It's not always an error either. Dubie had zero business throwing home and allowing the other guy to advance. Hopefully the coaches told him something. The inability to advance those runners while Chas was bunting (he quit after ONE strike, WTF?) with no outs was lame. He failed to reach, then, of course, the DP followed. With JV's return, Blanco needs his *next* start skipped. He's obviously wearing down. Don't wait until after the 18 games finish because it equals two more starts, fatigued. The other starters don't seem in massive need of rest. They can survive 2 more starts on 4 days rest. On to the next.... win the series tomorrow.
That lineup in the bottom of the ninth was not scary, low chance of pulling it out. Any suggestions for pinch hitters? One run losses are the nemesis of the Astros. If anything does them in this season it will be games like this. Why can't we sign some "professional hitters" just for situations like tonight? What's Michael Brantley doing?
