I thought she gave the best speech of Day 1. (though I should note, I didn’t watch every single one.)
They are like many of the leftists on this forum lol. Except when the immigrants don't agree with leftist political views. Then it's "go back to where you came from", and the xenophobia is on full display.
quod erat demonstrandum "Except when the immigrants don't agree with leftist political views. Then it's "go back to where you came from", and the xenophobia is on full display."
It is possible. Between Harris being intoxicated, JD Vance hating women so much that he ****s sofa's and Donald Trump wearing Depends diapers - it is very hard to get excited about the leadership in this country. Walz is tough, because I'm not sure if he is a loving grandpa or if he is going to wake up one morning and bash his wife's head into the wall for forgetting to set the instant timer on the coffeemaker.
Nope - we aren't going down the "alternative facts" valley that has become a common way for people to blur something that is black and white. She wasn't the President, and she did not get to choose policy. I will not tie her to Biden any more than I would tie Pence to Trump policy. She stated over three years ago what the parameters of what she was asked to do concerning immigration. She further stated bluntly what she did NOT do - "The President has asked Secretary Mayorkas to address what is going on at the border." What she was and was not responsible for was plainly stated by her over three years ago. Any effort to tie her to being gate keeper of the border is false and not in good faith. If someone chooses to still blame her (or credit her) for the situation at the border, then they are either not informed or are doing so knowing it is false. This is the end of the discussion because you go in circles on this particular point.
The point of some of them: we're tired of watching tens of thousands of civilians be indiscriminately bombed.
Josh Shapiro was supposedly there. The only one that I don't know about is Fetterman. I personally find Fetterman very interesting - I think Josh Shapiro is very self serving.
So this isn't telling of anything. All of the people mentioned are supporting and campaigning for Harris. What is telling is that some people are so bothered by the Democratic party's rapid cohesion, and unity that they desperately are trying their best to poke, prod and attempt to divide in order to somehow help the other candidate? It's just a weird tactic to take.
