I know what it is, and he has it (NPD), no doubt about it. Theory is that it happened from the age of 2-6, where either a child was considered/treated as the golden child or suffered neglect from one (or both) of the parents. Now when they grow up, its very difficult to be in a relationship or married to one, their relationships usually don't last for more than 5 years, but when it comes to business/success, failure is not an option for them (because in their head they're Godlike and they cannot fail), so they'll do anything to make it to the top, which in lotta cases they do.
