Seattle extra inning game? Certainly not ahead of any of the 3 I listed. And not ahead of the walk off by Yordan vs Seattle in the 9th since we were behind in the score.
I have a soft spot for the Chris Burke homer as it finally avenged all the Bagwell failures against the Braves... and I was there for that one in person.
Some experience. Did he play 1 game at 1b this year? MLB.com says he did 1 game but also says 0 innings. But also says 0 innings for DH as well. Looks like he played once or twice the last few year. 2019, he played around 20 games. Same with 2018.
Against multiple errors, terrible biased umpires trying to get Red Sox to WC, own weak lineup, Jake playing wack a mole killing scoring opportunities left and right and early decifit.....Astros prevail!!!! One would hope team and Joe figures this was atrocious effort getting lucky winning and they get better tomorrow and not sk each others c***s too much in celebration. There has to be another way to use Jake. First -> 9 spot asap....then if he still comes up in big spots maybe laying the bunt down while walking to batters box. Is there other player as fast in league hitting this much to double plays? Seriously. Love the D but better chance at rally if he just takes 3 pitches and goes back to dugout. Go Dodgers, 3-0!!
We already beat the Braves in 04, in a series where Bagwell had a 1.082 OPS and hit a HR in the clinching game.
They should set up a private workout ASAP to see how he does. If he hasn't signed by now, you think he's still keeping in shape and doing baseball stuff in hopes he gets a call. I'm surprised he hasn't asked his agent to give Dana Brown a call.
I got raked over the coals for saying the Arozarena deal was a nothing burger. After a 2 game aberration to start August, here are the Mariners run totals 0, 2, 2, 4, 6, 4, 12, 1, 2, 1, 3, 2, 10, 0 8 of 14 games 2 runs or fewer 3 more games of 4 runs or fewer 49 runs in 14 games 27 runs scored in 12 of those games, ouch They've won all 5 games in which they've scored at least 4 runs. They are 0-9 in games in which they scored 3 runs or fewer. They aren't winning 1-0, 2-1, 3-2 games anymore. That magic is gone. In fact you have to go all the way back to July 5th to find a game in which they won scoring 3 runs or fewer.
Cedeno CF Altuve 2B Bagwell 1B Yordan DH Alou LF Correa SS Caminiti 3B Tucker? RF Diaz C Sorry, Berkman and Biggio and Doran and Cruz and Spiers etc....
Astros keep creeping up: 4.5 of New York 4.0 of Baltimore 4.0 of Cleveland 1.5 of Minnesota 1.5 of Kansas City We have also opened up a 3 game lead over Boston. 5 game lead over Seattle (6 in the loss column).
You never saw Cedeno play and certainly not in his prime 1st half of his career, unless you mean Roger Cedeno lol. Caminiti’s best years were for the padres. He wasn’t normally at Bregman’s level with the Astros. He had a cannon for an arm. EDIT: Nevermind. Thought you were responding to my post. My bad.
