Having works with or for over 60 companies, and advised over a dozen startups - I can tell you that business don't pay taxes on the cash they hold - an incredible fact I know. So first thing, "businesses" can mean a lot of things. Corporations that are publicly traded are a completely different animals than mom and pop shops. Most "businesses" do not pay corporate taxes becasue they are not corporations. The few businesses that are corporations AND show a profit get to write off loses from prior years so they again - don't pay taxes. The business that pay taxes are the ones that consistently show profit year to year and that DO NOT reinvest in their businesses. They are the businesses that are not growing and cash cows so to speak. They are the minority of business, and many of them are able to use their wealth to get tax breaks. So this whole mythos of the poor starving businesses that are going to die under a higher corporate tax rate is bullshit.

Joe's high moments are dynamite. Other times, I'm having a hard time understanding some words. But since I can tell he actually understands what he's saying and I'm not an Arsehole, I can appreciate it. It's fun to watch.
His speech was pushed back. I think that's kind of par for the course, but I do agree with you, they should have made other changes to get him on sooner. But I'm not there dealing with logistics and situation at the site. Without knowing the factors there, it's hard to say for sure. But I agree that they should have tried to find a way to not make him wait once the schedule got delayed.
