Imagine a toddler is found partially dismembered and dead inside the home of a family. A normal person would conclude at least one person in this household knew the toddler was here and knows what happened. There's like a 0.001% chance no one in the house knew the body had been dumped in the middle of the house for days. But for this story, you're antisemitic if you call out the family whose house the dead baby was found in.

Once this happened, Italy had enough. Too many children were kidnapped and murdered in the name of this half-human/half-beast "god" from the old testament (not the "God" from the OT mind you) that says you gotta sacrifice your kids on passover. Italy essentially said "forget your god, we rep the new testament over here" and banned jewish people.

But today if you mention this story, some try to say it is antisemitic. But a baby was found in the household of a jewish family during passover when these kind of things kept happening. But its antisemitic to say that? If it was a Black or Brown family thered be no hesitation from the same people thinking all jewish folk are absolute angels that do no wrong. The overwhelming vast majority are, but there are bad apples there too that some refuse to acknowledge or think youre racist if you do

Atrocities that happened to Jewish people in Europe, don't just happen all of the sudden because a certain person got in power, that was already in the back of the people's minds for decades and centuries. The certain politician just engages it and makes it normal to live in that parallel world for a certain period of time. Of course you're free to think otherwise

They've selected Jews and Gypsies, we all know Europeans don't like gypsies either.

Europeans will always find new scapegoats. It was Jews and gypsies before. Now it's Muslims.

Nationalists, they don't like the middle easterns now because they live on welfare, countries like Germany, Denmark, Sweden etc. have way more social programs than the US. They didn't like the Jews for different reasons, Gypsies because they don't contribute to the society what so ever

I was just in Ireland. The gypsies are now called "Travelers".
that changed since i was last there 5 years ago.
If you are in Ireland and go to a cemetery. The "Travelers" have the craziest over the top funeral plots. some complete with granite tiles and sitting benches. Saw one of a dude sitting on a throne all black marble except his gold chain. He was wearing a track suit in the sculpture.

I'm not a cemetery guy, but we were visiting my Wifes grandparents, aunts and uncles' graves.

That dude doesn't word it... Well

But before the Holocaust, Nazis definitely were pushing for Jews to leave and create their own state.

The Haavara Agreement was an agreement between Zionists in Germany to be allowed to leave with their assets to British mandated Palestine. I believe 60,000 Jews were able to flee persecution based on this agreement which is a good thing btw.

And yes most of Europe even GB had a desire for all Jews to leave Europe. Anti-semtisim was widespread in Europe. It existed in France, Germany, GB etc.

No - going after Pakistan, Libya, Iran and Lebanon would have been stupid and would have elicited a world war possibly. We didn't even handle Iraq or Afghanistan properly. You are truly insane if you believe that the USA should have attacked 6 countries in the Middle East. We never should have attacked Iraq, and then after we did all the damage - we just left an entire generation of young people out to dry.... so we ****ed that up, and Afghanistan is still dangerous and a disaster.

Honestly the United States should have been the new home for Jews. America before WW2 was the least anti-semetic of the western nations primarily due to not being part of that European ecosystem spreading stuff like "the protocols of the elders of Zion". Anti-semtisim did exist but in a much more benign form compared to European anti-semtisim. Most Americans just didn't think much about Jews.

It would have been so much better today if all the persecuted Jews just went to the US and built their roots here. It just makes sense to me but that's hindsight.

Am I being too patriotic believing the United States is the safest place for Jews on the planet?

Most of Europe (and to a lesser degree the USA) wanted nothing to do with Jews.

Germany and the NAZI party tried very hard to round up all the Jews and send them to several countries, even offering to pay the countries to leave. Germany had an advertising campaign before World War II suggesting that Jews leave Europe.

Germany tried to send Jews and no one would take them. Even the USA refused them.

Ultimately, after not being able to get another nation to take the Jews, they were liquidated at the behest of Himmler and Hitler agreeing to it.

Even after the war was over, GB agreed to only take a small number of Jews. Poland did not want them, neither did the Soviet Union. After refusing to take the Jews prior, the USA agreed to take a decent number of them - and the USA has been better for it.

Modern Israel was not really founded by the Allies because of how wonderful they thought the Jews were - but because Europe did not want them.

The whole situation is terrible - all the way around.

Ehh I would agree with you that the USA was less anti-semitic than Europe. However, there was a lot of discrimination and bigotry towards Jews around the start of the 1900's. There were a lot of pamphlets and powerful people that spread it. Ford, Lindberg and Wilson all were examples off the top of my head, there also was the KKK. Remember, at this time it was a big no-no for a WASP to date or marry a Catholic.

I do agree with you though, the USA should have taken in even more Jews - before and after WWII. I feel the same way now about Iraqis. There are a lot of Iraqi's that want to come to the USA that are well educated, good people - and contrary to narratives, most of Iraq is not religious... the younger people are often atheists.

That is a good interview. Why would people think he is part of Hamas? He clearly says that Hamas is like Isis & Al-Qaeda, that many Muslims consider them traitors to Islam.
