I don't think he meant it as an insult - it is telling though, because it shows how divorced from reality he is. I think he was saying getting the civilian medal is better because you don't have to be physically injured to get it. Of course, it shows an incredible lack of enlightenment or understanding of sacrifice or devotion - but what in his past would ever lead someone to believe he would understand these concepts?

I don't doubt that Trump is bad to work for - he has a poor employment record in the private sector and seems to follow the model that almost anyone is replaceable. However - he won election as an outsider, and was surrounded by a lot of people that were not part of the Republican mainstream decision makers. As a result, a lot of the people around him hooked onto him because they couldn't get a job with mainstream Republicans and that also attracted a lot of schemers and people looking for a payday. Trump has had to sift through all of those people and replace them. He also is not like other Politicians in what he wants or expects from subordinates - so when he replaced some of the odd balls with more established Republicans, that did not always work out. FWIW Harris has supposedly also gone through a lot of staff - in her case, she had a lot of younger staff and that could be part of it. Going through staff doesn't bother me with Trump - what is concerning is how many claims from highly regarded Republicans and civil servants there are claiming Trump isn't fit for office. I don't remember hearing that from Bush II or Bush ! or Obama, Clinton or RR ... so that does bother me.

I'm not sure how Trump really thought posting all that stuff would give him any kind of advantage. He's really a stupid man. He really is. He's just so desperate at this point to seek attention.
