First, you fabricated the 95% statistic, and now you're making a point that doesn’t make sense. I think you're suggesting that first-generation immigrants tend to vote Democrat, while later generations lean Republican. There’s some truth to that, but it’s nowhere near 95% of first-generation immigrants voting Democrat. What this actually shows is that later generations start to resemble typical American voters, which undermines the absurd argument that Democrats want "open borders for lifetime Democrat voters." Democrats support legal immigration to aid those fleeing persecution (genuine asylum seekers) and to strengthen our nation (our economy thrives on immigration). Reagan-era Republicans shared this view. But today’s MAGA Republicans have veered to the extreme, aiming to cut off most legal immigration and deport tens of millions, including Dreamers—a move that would seriously harm our economy and moral standing.
Kamal Harris' Dishonest and Stupid Price Control Proposal Government intervention caused inflation, and it threatens to make matters worse. https://reason.com/2024/08/19/kamal-harris-dishonest-and-stupid-price-control-proposal/ excerpt: Wait, I Thought This Was an Economy To Be Proud Of? First though, let's journey back to 2023 when Harris claimed to be proud of the state of the economy. "That is called Bidenomics, and we are very proud of Bidenomics," she insisted last August in a speech where she also trumpeted, "the unemployment rate is near its lowest level in over half a century. Wages are up. Inflation has fallen 12 months in a row." Now though, the vice president and would-be chief executive huffs, "When I am President, it will be a day one priority to bring down prices. I'll take on big corporations that engage in illegal price gouging and corporate landlords that unfairly raise rents on working families." more at the link
Most states have laws against price gouging. I get why you’re against it on the philosophical level, but price gouging like usury while not forbidden in the spirit of the free market economy, do more harm to the social contract than benefit. Same with monopolies and other anti competitive behaviors.
>Be Reagan >Listen to Bush and help cause a bunch of unrest in Central/South America, using several government agencies to do so >Disrupt families, ruin economies, and cause people to have to flee >Decades later, praised by Democrats Crazy world lol, but then again Democrats are neocons today
Weird given there was just an attempt to assassinate their candidate that they didn't have a large police presence.
Swing and a miss. What you said might have made sense if Trump was parading around the streets of Milwaukee like Kennedy did in Dallas. It's clear what we are seeing in Chicago is riot prevention setup. Nothing to do with assassination attempts
The Hamas wing is welcome under Kamala, she meets with them. Fetterman is no longer welcome, because he supports Israel. The next generation of Democrats are openly anti-semitic.
I didn't realize in this video either that Walz is comforting his wife. I feel like she talks mad **** about Kamala when they're alone. they should feel more confident when a potential future president is speaking about policy we still can't find on her campaign website lol
This post is all over the place, so I'll just make one simple point about what I'm pretty sure Democrats appreciated in the old Republican Party: While Democrats differ greatly in policy, they do respect the old Republican Party, which wasn’t defined by cruelty, immorality, undemocratic tendencies, or a cult of personality—unlike today’s Republicans, who are led by someone morally corrupt with the emotional maturity of a 3-year-old.
The Rs might question their call to cut Social Security and Medicare cuts? The biggest cheerleader for SS cuts is FLA Senator Rick Scott who keeps getting re-elected in the biggest retirement state. Go figure. When in doubt, the Rs double down. Elderly voters favor Democrats for first time since 2000
No it's not all over the place unless you think Reagan was not involved with the unrest in the region. I said what I did because you're supporting Reagan for his immigration policies yet his admin is a big part of the reason why they were flooding here seeking asylum in the first place and created the long-term consequences we're still seeing today.
