Like always you can’t handle the least bit of criticism. The reason once again that it isn’t interesting is there is no ****ing scenario by the club or the player where either would purposely use the IL to become a free agent or get out of the deal.

It’s insulting to Pressly to think he has such little invested in the team or that the Astros think so little of his historic past playoff performance they’d try and manipulate an injury to save $14 million next year. You are a baby and must not have actually competed if you think this is plausible. Just like trading Bregman on June 19th was implausible. I knew back then winners don’t just give up.

From what I have seen only Whitcomb has a chance to be the answer this year. In the playoffs and WS will need to put our absolute best lineup out there. This will mean more Diaz at 1b and more Alvarez in LF. See above.

No reason to get heated on this, but you are right it is very unlikely that Presley or the Astros are playing this kind of game. Snake Diggit brings more to this board than 99% of posters. If he has an off comment here or there who cares. Let’s not turn this forum into the name calling piece of crap that the basketball forum has become. Just good solid arguments about baseball.

Agreed. If Chas doesn’t turn into a plus bat by the playoffs, it will be Yordan in left rather than DH.

You’re right. I enjoy the transactional and minor league part of baseball too and know how much Snake brings to the forum in this area.

Not as much as I enjoy watching this team kickass for 9 years running. I won’t be in favor of trading any core pieces in the middle of the season though. One more title and this run will be undeniably historic. **** five years in the future.

Yeah dude, there’s no evidence of players ever playing thru pain to avoid having their contract voided or teams using injuries to justify getting out of paying money. Pffffft.

I dont have any issue with you disagreeing with my take, but that’s not what you did. You took my comment out of context and talked **** about previous comments of mine that were unrelated to that topic while also taking those out of context. Needless and shitty and that’s why I responded the way I did.

I talked **** cause I think that’s what you are doing about Ryan Pressly. Yes what you are describing has happened. By crap organizations or b**** ass players. I will defend both the Astros and Pressly if you think either are capable of doing that.

They are in fact my favorite team and I don’t think they’d consider what you seem to think they might. We are hated by everyone else already but at least that hate comes from thinking we cheat to win. What you’re insinuating is actually possible is worse.

    They are.

I would sign Urschela, he just got waived by the Tigers.

Whatever man. After 6 weeks he was at .189 with a .520 OPS. Not much good to be found in that stretch.

and playing everyday with no injury setbacks

    I deleted the post.

I'm tired of the back and forth.

We both understand each other's view.

Cheers and I hope both Alex and Chas have an amazing last 6 weeks of the season.

As crappy as this season has been at times, it's hard not to be excited about the playoffs this year. We're set up pretty well. Great top 3 SP in Valdez, Brown and Kikuchi. I trust any of those guys to give 5-6 strong playoff innings. The 3 headed monster in the pen should step up under playoff pressure, as all 3 have done in the past, and I think Arrighetti in particular projects well to giving 2+ innings out of the bullpen in the playoffs. Assuming Tucker comes back, our offense should have a potent top 5 in Altuve, Bregman, Alvarez, Tucker and Diaz. I wouldn't want to play us in October.

I'm not so optimistic, but we will see. Let's pray on this some.

Astros all time team since 1980. Players in their prime, of course. This team would be hard to beat…

    1B- Bagwell
    2B- Altuve
    3B- Bregman
    SS- Correa
    LF- Biggio
    CF- Springer
    RF- Berkman
    C- Diaz
    DH- Yordan

Bench- Tucker, Cruz, G. Davis, Ausmus, M. Gonzalez

    Batting order

    1- Altuve
    2.- Biggio
    3- Yordan
    4- Bagwell
    5- Berkman
    6- Springer
    7.- Bregman
    8- Correa
    9- Diaz

I guess Yuli could be on the bench instead of G. Davis but 13 year old me would get mad.

Really hard to pick a starting rotation out of….
    Ryan
    Clemens
    Scott (86)
    Oswalt
    Verlander
    Keuchel (15)
    Hampton
    Framber
    Etc…..

Am I correct that Baltimore and Houston have an upcoming FOUR game series? Yuk.
