That’s only 1 above average starter and probably 3 who will be among the worst starters in the league. I think they would struggle to get to 30 unless amen blew up. You would be starting 3 non shooters, you’re being silly here
What if Udoka reduces Sengun minutes from 31 to 20 minutes because Sengun is mainly needed vs KAT/Embiid/Jokic [3 teams of T-Wolves/76ers/Nuggets] because the fast pace gave us greater defense and offensive efficiency? And will again this season if allowed
@Hemingway I left off Cavs: Cavs during the season were a different team than the playoffs. Mitchell deferred to Garland as the Cavs being Garlands team......in the playoffs Mitchell took over. From that point on (re-signing) the Cavs became Mitchell s team. You will see a better version of the Cavs in 24/25. Tristan da Silva can play a role in the rotation as a rookie. I say the most recent draft was for backups....I feel it did flood the league with some decent backups. Tristan da Silva is one of them.
No, I only put the starters as is because of tenure in the league and base pay. I'm using a lot of 5-man shooters on the court to spread things out. Jalen Green Cam Whitmore Jack McVeigh Tari Eason Jabari would be my "Hampton - 5 lineup" Just because they would be good 5-men out, they could run horns set, weave, hand offs, PnR, elevator door set, off Curls action. Warriors just ran "Hampton-5" lineup for about 15 minutes a game. Built enough leads by outrunning teams to win a bunch of games. All Jalen needs, Cam, Jabari, and Tari for that matter need is spacing. They will carve teams up with some decent spacing. Neither Landale or Sengun would have their defender patrolling the paint......neither would be on the court. Pick-n-Roll (ball handler) 23/24: VanVleet: 43.6 freq.....0.99 PPP....82.1 NBA percentile Jalen Green: 39.3 freq....0.90 PPP....61.7 NBA percentile Luxury of Sengun is post up. But that's a lot, like 8 possessions and he was 45.0 NBA percentile. Dude is completely overrated. Rockets were also 24.8 (team) assists when Sengun played and 24.8 (team) assists when Sengun didn't play.
The warriors did it with kd and steph…..this would be fvv and basically scrubs. That team would also get roasted completely. You don’t even have fvv in that lineup. You think a group without a top 50 player can do ANYTHING?
When you make that the expectations I guess. Get that toxicity outta here brah. You don't have to find creative ways to call our young guys scrubs.
Rockets were the number 2 ORtg and number 4 DRtg in March last year. Teams were doubling Jalen Green at half court to get the ball out of his hands. Cam Whitmore and Tari Eason were hurt or the defense would have been better https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/nba-team-offensive-rating-march You lack the vision my friend. Clear the board (court)
That’s what he was comparing it to, and it wasn’t even our main young guys. It had Jack McVeigh in it for crying out loud. If you think they’re as good as the steph/kd warriors or in that universe we’re gonna disagree
I do appreciate the old apache coming back, i was concerned about the 47. But welcome back my friend you are always fun!
I don't think you have to be as good as the KD/Steph Warriors to not be scrubs. You were saying every player besides FVV was a scrub including Green, Cam etc. Come on. If you want to be taken seriously learn measured words. That might mean you have to expand your vocabulary.so you can express yourself more granually.
English is my 2nd language, don’t bully me! I was only talking in comparison to what he posted anyway
Thank you for the compliment. Keep up the good work. You help keep conversation and discussion moving. Straw the stirs the drink during the stagnant season (off season). Site could al ays use more of us.
The Rocket's First 17 Games, They could go 13-4. On paper, it is the easiest stretch of games for the Rockets with 12 games against teams I don't think are playoff teams (3 against spurs, 2 Portland, Wizards, Bulls, Pistons, Hornets, Clippers x2, Warriors). Play .500 the rest of the way and they win 46 games. I think they are a 45-50 win team this year. The West is stacked. In the East they win 50-55 games. Hornets (Home) Win Grizzlies (Home) Tough Win Spurs (Away) Win Spurs (Away) Loss - tough to beat same team twice in a row on road Dallas (Away) Loss Warriors (Home) Win Knicks (Home) Win Spurs (Home) Win Thunder (Away) Loss Pistons (Away) Win Wizards (Home) Win Clippers (Home) Win Clippers (Home) Win Bulls (Away) Win Bucks (Away) Loss Portland (Home) Win Portland (Home) Win
Good lord. We have dudes in here that want to go back to Stephen Silas ball. Thank goodness Ime Udoka is in charge.
