I watched a TV show called "I survived" that is a true crime/ documentary style show about people surviving potential life-threatening situations, complete with survivors telling parts of the story.

Obviously it was about the hostage incident at the team hotel in Kissimmee.

Interesting show. They don't give last names but as soon as they told the situation and said "Morgan and Aaron" I knew.

Sorry for the tangent. This thread just triggered a memory.

It's been past the point of no return now.

He's sucked and is going to continue to suck this year.

Hopefully he gets right this offseason.

As far as the playoffs go he should be used as a pinch runner, 4th OF. Under no circumstances should he be getting AB's in the playoffs.

Do they have room under the cap to make these type moves?

Nope, I'm just glad that there might be a reason for his suckage lately.

Chas has had 205 at bats, which is about how many Bregman needed to finally start hitting this year. Not comparing the two players just noting that long slumps happen around the league. It’s best to let him work his way out of it, especially with our division lead growing anyway.

Obviously would depend a lot on how much those free agents required, but Framber will likely be due ~$20M next year in arbitration so trading him would cancel out at least one of those free agents. So essentially Houston would need $20-$30M in payroll flexibility by my guess. I think they’d have close to that amount, depending on outcomes from their arb cases and Crane’s stomach for inching things up.

I would’ve never hit anything with Chas’ batting stance. It looks all wrong. Maybe try opening up a little.

Bregman had 102 ABs in April.

In May, his OPS was .719 vs MLB avg of .690

Saying Bregman took over 205 ABs to start hitting is simply not accurate.

And Chas is not getting better. He has the lowest OPS he has had since June 14th.

He hasn't been over. 700 ( the absolute min. Any corner OF should be) since April 6th.

He hasn't been over 600 since July 24th.

I realize NONE of the outfielders are hitting, but there is no reason to have any faith Chas will start hitting now.

On May 27th, Bregman was hitting .206 with 4 home runs.

Bregs when struggling can still draw walks...

Not comparing the two. Just saying Bregman slumped for the same amount of at bats and, since you motioned it, Bregmans walks were way down during his slump.
