Its true (that they were kicked out), the Europeans wanted 'em out, even prior to the WW1, Brits were moving 'em away to Eastern Europe n the middle east. Germans just did what the rest of the western Europeans were thinking. So after that fact they gave 'em Israel, and will support it forever, because they don't want 'em back. Simple as that
I don't think those are the reasons today western nations support Israel. They support Israel today because of basic western chauvinism. The average westerner sees Israel as beacon of western values in a sea of barbarism. It's basic bigotry. Look at how the Israeli government sells itself to countries like the US through social media... Like thirsty blonde IDF soldiers in Instagram. They want Americans and Europeans to see Israel as an extension of their culture.
Western values? Benjamin has been in power since 1996, they're democratic as much as Russians are. The other day I've met an Orthodox Christian from Jerusalem, said they took his land and treated him the same as any Muslim. If you're not Jewish you're less than 'em, that doesn't seem like western values (at least of today) where people believe in equality.
You'll realize for people who wax lyrical about western values, it isn't the democracy part, it's the culture, skin color etc. They see Starbucks. They see the similar lifestyles etc. And most importantly they hate the same people western countries hate: Brown Muslims.
Europeans except British can't decide anything on their own since WW2. Israel buys American politicians for pocket money, and American politicians decide what Europeans to do. That's where all "Israel is the greatest ally of the US" bs comes from. Israel is not the greatest ally of the US, it's not even an ally of the US for that matter. But it's the greatest ally of the corrupt American politicians.
