I get the “they won’t target approach”, but teams aren’t going to ignore their WR1.

They will scheme them open rather than challenge if possible.

Had a fantasy football draft this weekend.. put the Texans on in the background and my buddies were all making fun of me wanting to watch the preseason… they just don’t get it, this is the most excited I have been for a season. I’m dying to watch.

CJ was giving me major Brady vibes yesterday.

Taking what the defense gives him, major anticipation, pin point accuracy, calm as can be in the pocket with perfect mechanics.

    Special Player.

Preseason was nice last year and this year. It's fun when you have so many young good players fighting for a spot, but I'm done with it. I'm old enough to remember when everyone played the final preseason game on a Thursday to get it over with quickly followed by cuts on Saturday. Oh well have to wait an extra 2 days.

What I don't like is these teams that think they're above it. Carolina Panthers didn't give BY one single snap. I hope they go 0-17. What if they introduced the red jersey for all QBs so injuries for that position wasn't a concern.

Don't forget there's basically a bye week after the last preseason game.

Every pre-season I unwisely get over hyped about a guy, this year it's British Brooks.

I'd love him in the red zone.

My thoughts on watching the offensive line. Howard, Scruggs, and Mason did a good job with the first teamers and looked solid. Kenyan Green looks improved, but he has some issues that he still needs to clear up. I'd like to to see Green sustain his blocks longer and finish his assignments. Fisher was the obvious weak link with the unit and got beat bad on several plays. Fisher is a second rounder so he's going to be given the time to develop. Hairston the FB whiffed on several of his blocking assignments and contributed to some of the Pierce run plays that looked bad.
Patterson balled out playing center. The foot speed and zone blocking movement of the 2nd teamers really helped the run game turn it up a notch. Broeker has really improved and I can see him making the team because he can play Tackle or Guard. Guards Kendrick Green and Reed also played really well. Zierer earned a lot of playing time, but he's going to need to put on some weight to make it in the league. He should be a PS guy. If the Texans keep 8 lineman for the 53 man roster Tunsil, Howard, Kenyan Green, Fisher, Scruggs, Mason, and Patterson are locks. The final spot will probably go to either Kendrick Green, Broeker, or Reed.
