Diaz struggled at DH last season but excelled while catching. Like a stubborn mule, Dusty put Diaz at DH so his boyfriend could play catcher. Dusty did not maximize his roster.
MLB needs to institute a rule that if one team throws their #1, the other team can't throw their 4th or 5th pitcher. And the starters must attempt 4 pick offs per game.
The idea that Diaz, who was 27 percent better than league average as a hitter and a better defensive catcher than maldy by every metric didn’t do squat while playing is so laughably absurd as to require someone to be a complete and total pathological liar to believe it. Either that or literally insane or functionally r****ded.
The only people applauding Baker's decisions are Dust Mites and Rangers fans. The city of Arlington is very thankful.
Disappointing, but it was 1 game. Baseball happens. RHSP today so let's see Jon at 1b, Zach at 3b, Shay in Left and Pedro in Right. They young guys need PAs.
What would you have done differently? He should have PH Singleton for Chas when they had runners on 2nd and 3rd IMO but it was no where near the most poorly managed game of the year.
I always thought it would be smart to throw your worst SP against a better teams #1. Especially if your #1 and #2 SP are better than their #2 and #3. I don't think MLB does this enough.
You have a way with words. also- put your baby in time out for being responsible for the white Sox loss.
I’m pretty sure he meant Diaz didn’t do anything during the playoffs when he did play, which is just as stupid considering he wasn’t getting consistent ABs.
What’s he have 7 AB’s over 3 weeks? And he had caught like 3 games in the last 3 weeks of the regular season. Dusty intentionally iced Diaz out down the stretch so that he would be virtually unplayable in the post season. It was as absurd as it was intentional.
If we lose Bregman after this season, then I think that is the straw that breaks the camel's back for this team. We've lost players in the past and others have been able to step in. But, I think Bregman becomes the "one too many". We have to re-sign him if we want to continue to be a powerhouse team imo. But, is there any chance we will?
Yeah started 1 game at DH and then it was just pinch hitting duties. So yeah, an incredibly stupid argument to make against Yainer.
What can I say, I'm quite the wordsmith. Lol. I will. He's sleeping peacefully right now for his punishment.
I told my 9 year old the other day something like “we loved you enough to lock you in the closet for hours on end when you were little”. Her older brother and sister nodded yup to **** with her. Her mommy finally relented and told her that never happened.
Spends. If whitcomb, Matthews or Dezenzo hit and become above average players no big deal. If not it gets pretty damn dicey.
