You make a valid point: It matters how the government spends the money. If it invests money into infrastructure or better education, you can expect an ROI. If it just gives handouts, everybody is worse off in the medium and long term.

Just because he failed in his attempt to overturn the election results doesn’t mean he’ll shy away from trying to seize power, especially when he is a dictator-wannabe. While he lacks the capability to chart a pathway to that role, there is an army of smart and legally astute individuals working to position him for it. I doubt he has the maturity to resist the temptation of newfound power. Might want to also consider this: the presidency is the highest office in the US—and arguably in the world. Let's entrust such a critical position to someone with the emotional regulation of a 3-year-old child.
