With the exception of his 8 game hot streak, Jalen is the guy that causes the poor spacing because he can't shoot. What we learned during the hot shooting streak is that if Jalen was capable of shooting a basketball at a respectable rate, it opens up everything.... and once he went back to not being able to shoot after the streakended, it all fell apart. In short, he's the weak link 90% of the time. He simply has to learn how to shoot a basketball if he's to have a future.
Have we been conned this whole time? Because I noticed you could easily program a bot with how often you use certain phrases like the "he had a 8 game hot streak". Is this how you dedicate so much time to hating a human on a forum? By maximizing efficiency by programing a bot? That would provide some cover for you to not be wasting this much time on someone you hate. If it's not a bot, then man you must have those Emperor Palpatine baggy eyes of hate developing or something.
lol, my post is not even about Jalen. I guess that doesn’t stick to you. I have expressed many times that I like the improvement in Jalen but I wouldn’t call it a leap. I wouldn’t dismiss anyone who is hopeful about Jalen and point out his effort, improvement in defense, seeing passing angles. But if you are arguing he is the most impactful player based on on/off numbers and call everyone a hater if they point out his statistical non-improvement and claim that he is similar to booker etc statistically, I will point that this is not a reasonable stance.
Who said he's he most impactful on this team? And who says he's similar to Booker now? I want to see if you are capable of not straw manning positions to make yourself not seem unreasonable.
lol, I didn’t say now. You are inserting it there. I am guessing since you think their first 3 years are similar, I should be talking about now.
Here's the thing dude. You disagree. That's fine. I actually try to put effort in explaining my position like why their third year scoring differences have context to at least consider. You get offended when I tell you to consider context. And the manner in which you defend your disagreement of my arguments is simply "nah ah". Go back to my reply providing context of their third years. Go back to your reply disagreeing. So you ever actually try to discuss the content of my arguments? I'm not insulting you. I'm making my argument and you believe my argument in itself is grounds for you to be shocked and chagrined. If you don't have anything of substance to say besides "na ah" then just don't type. Don't reply. And we can all be cordial.
People including myself have expressed to you why they think the comparison is not good. People provided to you context too, on many things about Green. But the context people provide is different because they view things differently. And as I mentioned in the previous post, in your context everything works again Green, he always has the hardest and unfair conditions, which doesn't seem reasonable to me. If you keep repeating the same thing a million times in a million threads every time green is mentioned, you won't get the same answer repeated to you. I once made a detailed post about why on/off is not something that I value in anyway. And maybe another one a little shorter. I will not do it again. That's not because I don't have anything of substance to say about it. Anyway, you do you. For me the best is to step away from the forum till next season. There is no joy in these conversations.
The volume didn't change, still his regular shot diet between 6-8 shots on average with a few outliers. In the 9 games he shot .333 in each, its just that, .333. - 22/66. In those 43 games where he shot between .000 and .286 he was a cumulative 49/276 which equates to .177 or Amen level of shooting. He also had 27 games that he shot .400 or better, the total there is 120/236 for .508. This is why I haven't totally given up on him - It's in him to shoot well, I just don't know what the difference is between the .508 Jalen and the .177 guy.
I want you to actually quote the post where you actually break down the actual basketball points I make rather than meta comments about "making excuses". It's obvious you don't read fully the text I type. You have an idea in your head of what I say that doesn't match what I type. You disagree in a lazy manner. That's what I'm frustrated about.
It's an answer given to refute a common lie pushed by cultists... the more you guys lie, the more there is a need to correct your lies. If you don't want to see corrections, stop being a liar. It's really as simple as that.
Okay i get it now ur that sensistive Comparing jalen to jordan poole both made less than 1/3rd of their 7ish 3 pt attempts is personal attack And its ur responsibility to defend jalen
They were equally bad at their three point shots last season. Good thing Jalen was better a pretty much everything else: 1.0 VORP vs -1.2 VORP
The improvement of these two are going to be key in the W-L column Especially If they both can go at least 35% from three land with best case 37-40%, and Bari shows more mid range prowess (w/ strength & defense etc ) ..... And Green needs to also improve footwork on defense and showcase more of his double-double stretch and staying locked in during high n lows Its crazy to think the young talent was put in the deep end ocean waters day one and now starting year 4 (2nd under Ime) they could be that pack of Orca whales that nobody in the NBA sea wants to come across Texans type feel this NBA season.......the health of rotation players are key....hopefully most rotation changes come from rest or just minor bumpNbruises
