Amen is the only player with the superstar potential on this team, if he develops a shot. Cam probably has the highest ceiling offensively but his health is a question mark. As far as Jalen goes I want to be a believer but that hope is vanishing
Eh. Neither have anywhere near the on ball skills, wiggle, creativity. Amen and Jalen have similar agility and Cam is a couple notches below. Amen arguably has a higher ceiling than Jalen. There really isn't an argument for Cam having higher ceiling. Dude is a headless chicken when he has to create against half court point of attack defenses at the moment. He also simply doesn't have the ball handling skills of Green. Like that gap is massive.
I didn't ask the question, I simply answered it. Bottom line, he needs to replace some of those 43 poor shooting performances with 2/6 (.333) and all will be right in the world. He cannot shoot .000 for 15% of the total games on his regular shot diet and expect to be a productive player. 43 games between .000 - .286. That's just unacceptable.
Sure the metric is arbitrary, but it is a reasonable expectation - the bar wasn't set so high that it's impossible to clear. .333 is still below league average. If he replaces those 12 games of .000 with .333 he's much improved and we find something else to argue about.
I don't disagree with your premise. But if the gamble is putting all the eggs in one basket, then you still need to ask the question, Which basket? We have several baskets and probably don't have enough eggs to fill all of them.

You post about Jalen like he’s still the rookie version and never made progress. Many here have argued with you intelligently and nothing seems to stick. Well if we judged Alpi the way you judge Jalen, I’d trade his ass tomorrow but truth is he made a leap. You just don’t respect that Jalen made a leap too because your only focus is 3 pt shooting. Basketball will always be about the totality of contribution and our 2021 draft guys are getting their **** going. Just enjoy and stop trying to divide teammates that all depend on one another. if you're averaging 8 3pt attempts per game and making just 1/3rd of them and not improving efficiency for 3 years it will be scrutinized
if its that simple why has he made only 1/3rd of his 3 pt attempts for the last seasons he's jordan poole

Only a handful of teams have superstars, you can count them on one hand plus 1 or 2 outliers, the rest are stars and role players.
Great article. The good news is Jalen's 11-game streak essentially forced Udoka to understand what's possible if the floor is spaced for Jalen. Sengun does just as well at a higher pace so if you can improve their shooting a bit and surround them with better shooters, this teams offense will explode. Jalen and Sengun will be able to do damage simultaneously. If Jabari and Tari slightly improve their 3PT shots' volume or efficiency it will make Sengun/Green's lives a lot easier. I assume if Tari improves at all as a shooter, he will be closing games and possibly starting for us over Brooks. I would really love us to have a lead assistant specializing in offense (a former HC would be ideal). Udoka does need a bit of help there and I'm not sure his staff is strong in that area. Mazula was his lead offensive guy in Boston and there's no one on his staff with that kind of tactical offensive pedigree. I must say though, watching him gleefully discuss all the exciting ways Sengun/Green can form a dynamic duo gives me confidence that their off-season training will be aligned with that. We're going to see a lot more pace and space for our young guys and Brooks/FVV will have to keep up. It's a shame not to play that way. Look at how we overwhelmed teams with our athleticism in the open court towards the end of the season. Hardly anyone could keep up with us, old or young. People don't realize that on average our rotation is insanely athletic. Green will help us unlock a few more wins that way.
