I’m not sure this is a great description, the US has world class cities full of serious wealth, amenities, technology. What holds it back isn’t a lack of high end “development” it’s just the inequality. We have the highest highs that the world has to offer, even amongst other top wealthy developed nations. It’s the lows that are abnormally low and abnormally common that skews everything and tends to place the US behind other countries in median measurements of well-being.
He can't help himself. "I think I’m entitled"—that’s Donald Trump, ladies and gentlemen, in a nutshell Trump says he's 'entitled' to personal attacks against Harris - POLITICO
Some of these cities with nice bullet trains, connected neighborhoods, and modern infrastructure for all to enjoy are the result of government spending, also known as socialism in some circles.
America has wealth and some great cities, but we’re still lagging behind in several areas compared to Europe and East Asia. Look at public transit. Compare our best in NYC with Paris or Tokyo... you can’t even begin to compete with them. NYC’s system is outdated and overcrowded, while theirs are expansive and efficient. Same thing with airports. Nothing in America is as good as Singapore or Munich or Hong Kong. Then there’s technology. Cities like Seoul and Tokyo are leading in smart cities, AI, and robotics. Meanwhile, we’re still trying to get decent Wi-Fi on public transport lol. Some of this is due to geographical size and history, but outdated laws and corporate greed are the biggest problems, along with slow government innovation. I've always been for spending money if it's going to better the infrastructure in America, but I guess those "in charge" can't make the most money that way
People love Flavor Flav, doesn't mean he should be president. Also, The View is about as bad as TV gets.
Our infrastructure was once the best in the world when we poured massive funds into it back in the early 1900s. But as other countries caught up, their more recent infrastructure spending allowed them to use advanced technology, and we fell behind. That started to change with the passing of the IIJA, which brought $1.2 trillion in spending. It’s not the $4 trillion Biden initially aimed for, but it’s a solid step toward modernizing our infrastructure over the next decade. (recall Trump’s weekly infrastructure talk that amounted to just talk and no action). I mention socialism because that’s the label one party slaps on any significant government spending. The IIJA was slammed as socialist overreach, and while it did pass with bipartisan support, most Republicans still voted against it. Yet, those same Republicans now turn around and claim the benefits of the act. Rinse and repeat. Whenever there’s a government initiative to improve American lives that involves spending money or regulation, the Republican Party cries socialism! They’ve been pretty successful with that slogan, scaring Americans away from backing government spending on things that would improve their lives. Even with the IIJA passed, this tactic is far from over, and they’ll likely keep having success. You see it again with labeling the attempt to rein in corporate greed to reduce pricing as 'price control' and pairing it with Stalinist socialist rhetoric that will cause millions of deaths, just yesterday. Reining in excessive greed is something both parties should want to tackle and work together to achieve. But that’s not going to happen—the Republicans will cry socialism and try to kill it, earning the well-deserved label of being bought by corporations.
You're right. Damn those Communists! F*ck infrastructure, affordable healthcare, funding public schools that don't whitewash history, and screw all that climate change and equality and justice reform nonsense.
Inappropriate for a member of Congress to show their ass off like that, but it's her body and no complaints. Couldn't imagine seeing her from behind in the beach and then watching her turn around. Quick turn from boner to gross. Would still hit off course.
VoteVets Says Trump "Hates Veterans," as He Continues to Belittle Their Sacrifice - VoteVets “It isn’t a one-off insult of our Troops and our Veterans. It started when he got out of Vietnam by lying about bone spurs, continued on when he tried to kick Veteran vendors off of 5th Avenue, insulted John McCain, insulted Gold Star Families, called our fallen suckers and losers, refused to go to a military cemetery, told the military to stop having wounded warriors perform at ceremonies because “nobody wants to see that.” It isn’t just that Donald Trump doesn’t respect Veterans and their sacrifice. It’s that Donald Trump hates Veterans and their sacrifice, because he looks so small in comparison to them.”
His narcissistic personality disorder explains his mad rambling since Biden divorced him, something he’s having a very hard time accepting.
Shocker!!! Conservative pollster Frank Lunlz? More like commie extremist Frank LoLunz!!! amirite? Trump and Vance’s 'caught on tape' problem is pushing women voters to Harris: report After hosting a recent focus group, conservative pollster Frank Luntz warned fellow Republicans that 2024 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), have a major problem with women voters — including those who have voted Republican in the past. Even some women who hold conservative views, according to Luntz, appeared to be favoring Democratic nominee Kamala Harris over Trump. Luntz, during a mid-August appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," told host Mika Brzezinski, "These are ex-Republicans, ex-conservatives who are looking at Trump and his personality, the whole Trump/Vance ticket — and they are saying: This is not what I want." In an article published on August 16, Axios reporters Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen stress that Trump and Vance's "caught on tape" moments and the way they "talk about the other gender" are hurting them with female voters. The Axios reporters point out that Vance's "issue with women is different" from Trump's but "equally problematic." "For Trump, it's his unusual vulgar and sexist language," VandeHei and Allen explain. "For Vance, it's anachronistic-sounding views on the role of women in modern society." VandeHei and Allen note that "women are more reliable voters than men," adding that "polls suggest they'll reliably vote by big margins for Vice President Harris." "A Quinnipiac poll out this week found a gender gulf among likely voters in the critical swing state of Pennsylvania: Women backed Harris 54 percent to 41 percent, while men went for Trump, 49 percent to 42 percent," the journalists report. "Overall, Harris was up 48 percent to 45 percent. This vulnerability for Trump and Vance is driven partly by moments that are caught on tape and impossible to deny." VandeHei and Allen add, "Shortly after President Biden's disastrous debate, former President Trump was sitting on a golf cart, casually saying Harris is 'so f*****g bad.' Off camera, The New York Times reported, he was calling her a 'b****.'"
