What metrics are you using to decide Trump had a good presidency? His presidency was also not peaceful.
Facts. Economy was better. Foreign affairs were extremely stable. If you want to protest that, then we have nothing to discuss imo.
As if the other side doesn't do the same. How many times have you read here "she hasn't done any interviews," "she's low iq," "she's slept her way to the top." Wild indeed. Trump's 4 years may have been good for you but perhaps it wasn't good for other people, I mean, there is a thread around here that criminal activity increased while he was the president.
All I had to do was google dude https://apnews.com/article/trump-economy-biden-election-president-e3a153c9b0c615ea6e0f2afb91cdc785 https://www.vox.com/politics/24094752/biden-trump-strong-economy-2024-inflation Any growth under Trump was because Obama already set him up previously. Nothing that Trump actually did during his term was good for the economy. Not to mention the debacle that was Covid where Trump tanked the economy. Biden has done a fairly decent job of bouncing the country back from Covid. So Trump inherited a good economy from Obama and Biden inherited a bad economy from Trump.
It's all about perception. You and I, we are two different individuals with two different ideas of what good means. I can 100% respect individuals that appreciated the Trump presidency as long as they have legitimacy to their claim. They saw something I didn't particularly see. The economy, the numbers state that under Biden it has been better than it was under Trump, but once again perception, certain prices are up across the aisle. We could sit here and blame Trump for portions of that due to his piss poor management of COVID, however, we can also blame previous administrations based on the globalization of our economy and relying so heavily on other countries for cheap labor. Or we could blame the current administration I guess. We sometimes pin waaaay too much on a presidential administration. They are not freaking gods and certain policies from their predecessors may actually benefit their economy or hurt the economy (or other issues in general). Look at Obama, he had to deal with the piss poor choices that Bush made, but Obama pretty much had to take the blame for the brunt of that since the deficits ballooned under his watch (at least the 1st term of his presidency) in order to rescue the economy. Trump, to me, he was someone that focused on dividing the country, he had thin skin and couldn't handle any sort of criticism. His need to exaggerate everything was annoying. I wasn't a fan of his foreign policy. Withdrawing us from the Iran deal, in my opinion was a mistake. Catering to Kim Jung Un and acting as if they were good buds was stupid. He got nothing out of it. Pretending that he wanted out of NATO was annoying since relationships had to be reestablished when he left office. I can keep going. But hey, you saw a positive in his administration that I guess made a difference to your life. I see a **** stain of policy issues that need to be resolved or a legacy that will be very hard to do away with. By this I mean being able to appoint conservative justices that have stripped certain rights from Americans (right to abortion). Or what about his tax deal, he made corporate cuts permanent while giving us an FU and only making personal tax cuts temporary (they expire next year?). The corporate tax cuts were not necessary considering that he inherited a very good economy. Anyways, I can keep going, but I know you get my point.
To be fair, couldn't you say the same for those who get their thoughts from right wing media, or from Truth Social? It's so easy to simply fact check all the repeated lies, but they take his word as Gospel far often than not. Trump has many believing all news is fake news if it contradicts his lies.
Here's my question to you...because you seem to be forgetting one important part of trump's presidency. What happened in that 4th year? Where was the economy when he left office? How many people died because of the administration's ignorance of what was happening? What administration was it that actually administered the lockdown? What administration advocated for a non-peaceful transfer of power and was ultimately responsible for what happened on 1/6/21? I'm all for having differing opinions about how to accomplish things. But you first have to acknowdlege some facts.
